Love your reactions to Allie. She nailed this one. I’ve been watching her busking videos since she was 12 and her voice just keeps getting better snd better. She is just so good it’s crazy. And the band is terrific. Allie never tries to copy the original artist, she just sings it with her own style and often I end up liking her version more than the original. She took this song and turned it into something so upbeat you just wanna get up and dance.

There is no doubt the difference in this performance is the presence of "self". It's like she had a bunch of friends hanging around, which she often does, and she was more into the fun than the performance and this night, the combination was magic. Firstly, Ladies I love your presentation to begin with. You bring style and glamour to your vlog, your natural speaking voice is way better than the effected high tone end to your sentences, which you had at the begining. It feels like your draging your energy through the sentence then ending on a high sound to give it some punch. You do not need to do that. You bring natural grace and energy already.Not need for the BBC affectation. You settled in beautifully and again were carried along by Allie's beautiful talent I sware that if there was only one person in front of her she would give the same performance. She has to sing like she has to breath. I thought the glasses you were missing were for some wine. You do a fun and beautiful thing. P.S Allie will be 16 in mid April. Her crowds got so big that the police told her she needed to figure out crowd control. Allie is just 18 now, she started busking at 12 after she hounded her dad for a year to take her down to Dublin.. Her dad go with her every weekend and foilms her videos. He has a recording contract but was not alound by her father togo into the studio until she was 18. He wants her to be grounded nad to enjoy her privacy now.

Dublin City Council suspended the buskers licences before we went into level 5 lockdown. Some of the buskers went to Cork instead.

Mark Ronson rearranged it in 2007, and had Amy Winehouse sing the lead. Allie is covering that version, and her rendition is Excellent!
