BTW, your Mum will go bananas for Olimpico. That bald gentleman who gave a standing ovation....composed it specifically for Dimash's vocal range. The song won best operatic song for 2019 in Russia. The composer's name is Igor Krutoy, famous Russian composer and billionaire music producer. Came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing Sinful Passion to work with him.

I'm not sure if you got the translation of what he said at the end. He was thanking the band, A-Studio, for making excellent music that positively influenced youth in the region. They are from Kazakhstan and released this song when Dimash was 4, so he was one of the influenced youth. He got to sing with his local hero band! So cool. He also thanked the festival for giving young musicians a chance to perform and grow. He was performing in a professional pre-concert before the competitions. The announcer before that was joking that there would be no flowers left for the other performers and they would have to bring porters in to carry all the flowers (not a joke).

Dimash collects all the flowers he receives and donates them to local senior care living facilities. His charities are private but remarkable in generosity. He heard a village was devastated by a natural disaster and he donated the entire proceeds from his concert towards helping the people. (In numerous concerts on 2 continents, he has sold out stadiums and concert halls.)

No one does Adagio better then Lara Fabian......................Adagio was composed in Italian by Albinoni and sung by Lara Fabian first. Later she created the English version. Dimash imitates her "the best form of flattery". I not taken anything away from Dimash, he is not my cup of tee.

For those who like information about Dimash's songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. My recommendation for your next Dimash reaction would be the first song he sang in Mandarin in front of a Chinese audience called "Autumn Strong." He won a major award in Hong Kong for this amazing performance on the Chinese show "The Singer" and it helped turn him into a Megastar in China. Hello Ladies Isubscribed when you had your first reaction to Dimash. And I’ve been waiting on your third reaction. It’s my opinion that this song you just heard is the best song ever sung by an Alien disguised as an earthly being. He sings every genre with the exception of bluegrass and country so far. Doubt he’ll ever attempt those. He loves 20 and 30 year old songs but because of the collaboration with Igor Krutoy is experiencing originals from this famous Russian composer for about two years now. You should be hooked by now and you will realize that he is literally the best singer on the planet. Each song has a surprise or two or three that you never expect mostly because it does not seem possible that a human can reach those notes and can sustain some of those notes from 16 to 23 seconds. The song was written by the Kazakh group A Studio. The pianist was the composer and the guitarist was part of the original group. The riff that occurred after the higher bit was a traditional lament in honour of the original singer who passed away several years back. The man leading the ovation is Igor Krutoy who had retired until he heard Dimash. He has since collaborated and written for Dimash, including the more operatic styling of Olimpico. Dimash is known for his appreciation of flowers - which he usually has donated to old age homes and hospitals. Dimash is rumoured to have had the same girlfriend for a few years, but they parted due to her jealousy over his burgeoning fame a few years back. Whether true or not, it really doesn’t matter since Dimash chooses to try to maintain a quiet personal life. He is generous enough of spirit to have recently shared snippets of his personal life via a vlog. You two are certainly characters and glad to see you revisiting such an accomplished young artist.

Ladies, thank you for your great reaction. If you are interested in knowing the other side of Dimash, he is an educated young man, finished his masteral with flying colors last year. I was informed that he is now pursuing a higher studies leading to PhD. When he was younger, he said he wants himself to be well educated. He never gave up that dream despite his hectic schedule. He loves the works of scientists and poets, and he understands literature well. His younger sister is also eyeing to become a medical doctor.

The version on his channel has subtitles. Dimash using his voice to portray the emotions of the song and he has very wide range of voices to do so. He's not demonstrating his voice just for demonstration. I've heard a vocal coach saying that most singers 1-2 colors when Dimash has a whole pallet of colors to paint the music with.

The song "Sinful Passion" was written/composed several years back by the Russian/Kazakh group A-Studio, several members of which - including the long-haired fellow on piano - got back together to perform this song at the Slavic Bazaar concert with Dimash. He thanks the group profusely at the end of the song (while he's harvesting all the bouquets of flowers), snd if you let the video run a little longer, you can see Dimash go back and hug the musicians from the band. Dimash also congratulated A-Studio for having set an excellent example for youth, showing them how music should develop in a proper ('right') direction. This shows, once again his modesty and appreciation for this art form. He's a real 'class' act...
