HELLO FIONN, Greetings from Canada🇨🇦. WoW, this was an *exceptional video* thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to explain the goings-on and for educating people like myself, for the time you've spent filming and editing and your calm, dreamy, Irish dialect and narration. (I lived and travelled throughout Ireland for a year~ loved every moment). I'm sincerely grateful and looking forward to viewing more of your video's/vlogs. Thank you ❣️

If you can't find food because you're taking lots of time to keep the chicks warm, getting extra nesting material is a great idea. It lets her spend more time foraging and less time keeping them warm.

So my bluetit family have fledged from my nestbox yesterday. All 7 eggs hatched. I never saw any of them fledge unfortunately and I found 1 dead bluetit chick about 8pm last night feet away from the nestbox. I can only hope and pray the other 6 are strong enough to make it on the outside world. I agree they are so small and vulnerable it's a wonder any chicks manage to make it to become an adult.

Hi Fionn, remember me? Well it seems I was completely wrong about the little tits in my nest box. I've not seen any baby fledglings (the neighbour says she found a dead baby on her grass, but I did not witness this so I can't say if it was a fledgling blue tit or not). However, this pair are STILL bringing nesting materials into the box this very day. No noise from the box, just comings and goings still with nesting material. I'll keep you updated, I'm very confused by them and have no idea what they're doing.

Poor Biddy and Miley, didn't they lose all of their chicks last year? I'm sure there were blue tit chicks in the nesting box in my garden area and there was a lot of in and out activity up until a week or two ago, from morning till night. I assumed that was mostly the male bringing food because he was so busy, he rarely seemed to even stop for breath. I haven't seen any fledglings though, unless I just missed them, and the adults are still coming to feed at times. We have had some magpies hanging around recently so my main concern is that they were here for the chicks. Let's hope that the chicks were big enough and managed to fledge successfully.
