After watching this video I had everything I needed so I went out in 10 minutes later my headlights look brand new thank you this works. It works so well I wish I had made my own video.

After you've polished the headlights to the desired clarity,wipe them clean and use another microfiber and apply 303 UV Protectant!

Look, I'm very stupid when it comes to just about anything car repair or working around the house. But even I did this, and it does work. Just make sure to buff them out with a cloth after polishing with a drill and soft buffing pad, and then spray on and wipe off a headlight lens sealer so it'll last longer. Depending on how much your car is in the sun, this can last for months to a year.

What did you use to seal it?

How long does it last? I have put light oil on my headlights and they clear right up! Then the oil vanishes and the fogginess comes right back! You cannot conclude after buffing that this product works! How long did your headlights stay clear?

How many rpms does your drill do? Can i do it with any drill
@AaronKimmins6 жыл бұрын
Gogeta138 it's just a basic cordless drill. You don't want it to be too fast, it would melt the plastic if it's too fast. Pretty much any drill should be good.

This is BS. I tried it and it looks okay for a few minutes after you apply it and buff it but then it starts to look bad again. By the next day, it's like "It looks just like before!".

Good job, but your supposed to spray soapy water on it first and keep spraying it while you polish, and you need to do it for 5 minutes. thanks.

Still clear, worked great.
@henrywilliams14395 жыл бұрын
Putting the paste on dry is considered too abrasive, it causes more heat making the plastic softer, which causes it to remove more plastic than is necessary, with some places thinner than others. The soapy water thins the paste, which means you have to polish longer, but it keeps it cooler and makes for a more uniform thickness and a stronger lens that may be able to have more polishes later before having to change the headlight; so the theory goes. Either way you end up with a clear lens.

Funny how the aluminum accidentally got polished.
@AaronKimmins6 жыл бұрын
razzledc69 yeah, nice thing is it doesn't hurt the paint either if you accidentally hit it.

@@AaronKimmins I did this with a 8000 grit and it did leave a mark on my clear :( I know it's not the same method as you, mine is probably more aggressive. Result wise, it improved but for some reason there appears to be scratches on the inner side to the plastic headlight enclosure?? I feel like the HID headlight high-temperatures some how brought out the imperfections from the plastic :/
