I am a mother of 6, 2 with special needs (Down Syndrome and a Type 1 Diabetic), I just got the news yesterday that another one of my kiddos will be special needs as well (we got results from the genetic testing labs). I was a mom with a career (almost attained a PhD), but set everything aside to raise our kids. Society, many times, sells us a lie that in order for a woman to be successful, she must have a career and a full-time job that brings in a check. I am often ridiculed for having 6 kids, and criticized for having 3 with special needs. Because of this, I sometimes question my purpose, especially when I get discouraged, and feel like all I do may be futile. Thank you so much for sharing Mother Theresa's words. They are, not only encouraging, but they will help me to continue to push to become a better version of myself and find holiness in my daily tasks as a mother. I hope that, at the end of my journey, I can offer all 6 children to the Lord, so that we all live with God for all eternity in heaven. That will be our legacy as mothers. ❤

I have one grown son and he has special needs. He is such an innocent soul… I feel so blessed. He lives at home but I worry about what will happen to him when I’m gone. Who will love him and protect him…😢. I think our special kids give others the opportunity for kindness and service ..Heaven points. I know a family who have 2 children with DS. They never shy away from sitting near the front of the church at Mass. I will say a prayer for you and your sweet children. 💗

Suffering and meeting our challenges in life are our badges of honour as christians .At the end of our life. ,you will definitely be rewarded with medals for having Gods 6 children ,we are just the caretakers of his children.

Special children are God's special caresses. They are little bright crosses that tell us how much God loves us continually. God blesses you!! But He is already blessing you with your children!!! ✨🙏🏻✨💙

@tlynn7043 thank you so much! I totally understand how you feel. I always worry about who will take care of our kids when my husband and I are gone. I guess we just have to trust in God. I always think back to scripture, where we are told that God takes care of the birds and flowers, so He will take care of us even more and we must trust 🥰

First time here, I'm choking up . With tears. How wonderful this was to hear from you . We've. Raised our son's . Now , and my husband left me on our 25 wedding anniversary. I've kept the Faith and forgave my husband , forgiveness is important to keep a family together. He's gone now, i have 5 grandchildren. please pray for my prodigal son and daughter in law, with my 5 grandchildren. Amen

I was a full- time mom and felt like I was wasting my life away. My baby is now a young adult, and I know what a significant role I had in how he turned out. I wouldn't trade it for any career that I could've had.

Frog in my throat watching our 10 month old play rn. The devil wants us SAHMs to feel like we are invisible. But to our husband and our children, we allow the Holy Spirit to sew the seeds of love in the heart of our family unlike any other job in this world. The security and stability we give our family- knowing mom is always there- is absolutely priceless.

When I was a young mum with two small boys, I felt discouraged and useless. Said to myself: What good am I doing here at home…what’s my real calling?! I thought I should be a missionary or something like that to please God. But then at one moment I heard a gentle voice so clear in my heart: “I have called you to be a mother” 🙏❤️ Since then I have felt so free in “just” Bering a mother!! Now we have six children! And I pray everyday for an unborn child in danger to be aborted. 🙏❤️

I'm crying now, your words have touched me, very deeply. 9 yrs ago I left my husband for the last time. He was very abusive, I sometimes hurt for him. He was not loved or nutured as a child should be. We have 3 children that are grown. My oldest son does not speak to me. My second son I had to stop seeing because he was verbally abusing me. My daughter and I only txt, I've asked her if we can talk on the phone. She's always says she's busy. I've been crying for so long now of how things have turned out for me and my children. I've been struggling with my energy since I left my husband. I've said to God, that since I can't see my children now. Please show them that their mother loves them, and that their mother always fought hard for them. When their father always under mined me, and made me look bad in their eyes. I want my children to be good ppl too themselves and to others. Thank you so much for your words. They touched me deeply. God bless you Debbie ❤

I love mother Theresa, she has done miracles for me (spiritually) and with her intercession she gave me my beautiful daughter. I struggled earlier with my young boys, new country and new life. The sisters of charity, with mother Theresa's spiruality and work in the community changed my life. I love them and mother Theresa. ❤

I quit my job to stay home with my kids, and while home I started my own business so I wouldn't ever have to go back to "work". The whole time I've been thinking, I'm doing this for them. Sometimes my business threatens to encroach on my kid time. I have to tell myself: I will not choose this over them, if I'm doing this FOR them... you know? They are the most important job I have.

i must have really needed this because just hearing the name mother Teresa made my cry so much and i have never taken the time to read about her or what she wrote but like you said Saints find us. she must be calling to me seeing my struggles cause this video really touched me. 5 kids and a husband who's not a catholic and is not much of a help i feel like i'm drowning in defeat everyday. I live out the same day and for what??!! It's hard to think that my little yet mess of a life even matters.

This is such a lovely message. As a mom I sometimes forget how precious the time is with my little ones. I get caught up in frustrations around not getting enough sleep or me time. In the end it is all worth it because it is the most important job in the world ❤ amen

Our daughters are nearly 23 and 19 and I cried listening to this..I feel deeply for all of you younger mothers posting on here..Mother of 6 and mother of the baby .. only had two and mine are grown but I empathise hugely..I have never regretted being a full time mother and pray that all you younger mothers have sufficient time and energy to give your children what you know they need, Mother Teresa was right; there is no more important occupation.. bless you all, Karen in Cambridge, UK

Thank you Debbie, very meaningful and powerful. I had a hard time years ago, when I brought up my son; single mom, no family close by to help, and many challenges. I tried my best.
