In this episode, I talk through the story of writing my song "Mother" and talk about the conclusion of my "Mother" collection of songs, which were each written in honor of my mom, who unexpectedly passed away one year ago. Thank you for listening and letting me process and grieve out loud.

I lost my mom 20 years ago. We laid her to rest on my 34th birthday. For many years, probably a decade, I wanted to call her and tell her something my kids did. My daughter was five and my son was barely one when she left us. The pain grew less over time, the not realizing she was gone eventually changed. I miss her still, especially around the holidays and her birthday is in May, so this month is especially more bittersweet. This song is so beautiful and necessary. Your wife was right. Thank you.

Thanks so much. I touch my phone and i get this alert from KZbin. I get a hug from my mom through ‘Mother’. I lost her 13 years ago. It took a very long time to acknowledge the grief i held on to, stubborn to even acknowledge it. I was able to let go little by little in small waves….and listening to your song gives me so much peace. Thank you and love you for sharing this.

I lost my mom last may 11. And no words could express how painful it is. I ordered the cake for mother's day first week of april but my mom didnt make it until mother's day. 😔 Im in so much pain right now. I feel like my world stop too. She is everything to me. She is my world. She is my life. How could i move on? 😔
