Allow yourself time to heal... all the time in the world... 32 years later & it's like yesterday... remember that grief is just love with no where to go...

living this seems to be very difficult. This song has so much weight and genuine affection for Ryan's words, even though I'm not going through it I still get emotional. This band is wonderful

Those ocean sounds and the little murmuring of "Ryan" at the end from your mother nearly broke my heart. This is a beautiful, lovely, real and wonderful tribute to your mother and all mothers, thank you for sharing it with us.

My Grandma died 1 year and 9 days ago and the pain is still huge. I loved her so much and she was like another mother to me. I was in mental hospital when she died and it made me fall down again. Ive had a strange feeling days before but i didn't knew what that meant at this time. When you've started to sing, I've instantly started crying. I wish i could see her once more. I can't imagine how hard it is to lose a mother, but I'm scared to lose mine one day too. For me the saddest thing is, that my grandma never heard me singing or play guitar. I am writing a song for her right now too, so she can may hear it when i go to her grave and sing it to her. Thanks for sharing your amazing and heartwarming music. I wish you the best ❤

This version of the song is so raw and authentic. And your mom (from what I can see) looks like a warm and caring person. Wherever she may be, she must be very proud of you! ❤

I feel your pain Your music has helped me understand and agree with the loss of love, family, friend and self. As of this year your new music is helping me take control of the emotions I carry with me and they have helped me understand that it's time to let go

Love bigger than the ocean Is what you've given to me You hunted down every danger So my brother and I could swim free In a love bigger than the ocean The shores, they were mighty scary But at my back, I had the mighty sea There's something so strange about human nature We get so used to the gifts that we receive Now I'm more than grateful For a love bigger than the ocean I dreamt you were down by the water You looked so proud and happy to see me You were laying down some kind of red carpet on the beach I said, "Mom, I'm not sure what this means" It was an invitation To a love bigger than the ocean Now, we've got children of our own We dive back into the waters we have known As you loved us, we'll love them to the brim Because of you, they already know how to swim In a love bigger than, a love deeper than the ocean I still have so much I want to tell you I still have so much to figure out There's so much of you in every reflection of my life I hope you know, I couldn't be more proud Of this life, swimming in a love deeper than the ocean

Thanks for that. That was special. I grew up in the 60s. We had the neighborhood photographer who would make home movies. How I wish I had those. I also wish I had a video of my twin sister. She died @ 46, in 2009. This was before the ubiquitous smart phones. I’m glad at least I have pictures, but I sure wish I had a recording of her. Treasure this memory like gold.
