A close friend in high school has Moebius and got smile-surgery almost 10 years ago now, which was pretty successful. From my knowledge the facial paralysis was the only issue he had though. Wow! I'm blown away by the way all the women in this "family", including little sister and grandmother's bestie, have jumped in with full support of Abby and Riley. This is not at all the story I expected... Was very surprised by Abby's extreme maturity and devotion to wee Riley. This screams out for a follow-up show in 3-5 years. And Mobius Syndrome is kind of obscure so for Abby to manage to research and get confirmation shows her strength and determination to give Riley the very best of life. Good luck at college and can't wait to see the whole family thrive. You are a brilliant and bright girl, Abbey, and have surrounded yourself with supportive friends and Riley's Daddy.

People will think you’re always rolling your eyes at them and that you’re always sad, hence, making friends will be hard. But u know what, you’ll get through it. @@chetyoubetya8565 Im more impressed with a teen that does both. I have meet plenty of adult parents that shouldn't be parents. Not all teen parents are bad parents. Also just because you are a teen parent it doesn't mean you cant become successful. Vanessa Guevara Photography is a very successful company owned by a once teen mom she has a degree, has her own business oh, and she had her daughter at the age of 14/15 so yeah that' super impressive!!!!! Also I come from generations of teen parents whom own homes, land and have great jobs. A degree isn't everything, and today most degrees are just a nightmare of lifetime debt.

Love how mature Abby is, how supportive mom and sister are, and that the father is also a part of little Riley's life. Kudos to them! Riley is a beautiful little boy and I wish him good health and lots of love in his future!

I love how the Brits say "fell pregnant."

Why what do you say lol sometimes we say someone "got pregnant" as opposed to fell but it means the same thing xxx

I noticed they say it like that lol!

Us Australians say that too. It’s called English.
@Tyler_Mills265 жыл бұрын
@@Dr_KAP I'm trying to work out what else they could possibly say lol I know when I was in senior school everyone used the not so polite phrases for being pregnant i.e up the duff but I would have assumed "fell pregnant" is the norm xxx

I'm never supportive of teen pregnancy since it often leeds to more problems than good, but she is doing a better job than most adults would have done. Being so strong, fighting for her child and her own future, not many of us could have done it.
@LoriFahy5 жыл бұрын
yup, and the stigma for teen mums continues. I have heard pretty much every stigma and negative comment there is being a teen mum myself. I am now a mum of adult children, and they are very intelligent , successful strong people. So to say it often leads to more problems is absolute rubbish.
@happyhorse10285 жыл бұрын
Purnima Gurung I am against teenage pregnancy because the teenage mums miss out on so much. Being a teenager should be a carefree and fun time. No one should have to deal with so much responsibility at such a young age.
@happyhorse10285 жыл бұрын
TheLoriFiles do you ever feel like you missed out on being a regular teenager? No judgment or disrespect intended.
@LoriFahy5 жыл бұрын
@@happyhorse1028 I have often been asked that, and to be honest i dont feel as though I have missed out, my life was just different to most people my age. I did end up marrying the father when i turned 21, and we are still together today which I think in itself is something not that common. I managed a nursing degree as well. I dont think i missed out, I feel more that I was blessed to have her. :)

What an awesome mom! I was already a single mom of a 14 y/o and 37 y/o before I had twins with disabilities. I already had my college degree, but not enough family and friends supporting me. I feel like this young mom is stronger, esp with her wonderful support people and partner. She should really be proud. Keep going at it!

its disingenuous to act like parenthood means facing the specific issue she was, with a child with an (at that point) undiagnosed physical health issue, not knowing if he was even safe. you cant compare the two and you know it.

My mother had me at 19. She did everything right in the sense she worked extremely hard to put food on the table, was extremely invested in my education and never left me with a babysitter; the only problem was that my father and the rest of the family I was left with were absolute fucks and she was too young to recognise how messed up, traumatising and abusive the environment was until we were all nearly murdered on more than one occasion, my brother got into gang crime and I was in and out of hospital with physical and mental health issues. Thankfully this young lady's family and boyfriend seem very loving and supportive. I seriously hope the young lad is as good an egg as he seems to be so far. I'm especially impressed given Riley's condition- many fathers many years his junior would have checked out.

I can see how proud this grandmother is of her daughter for doing what she needs and taking on the responsibility of being a young mother. A teenage pregnancy is seen as a catastrophe, but this family is turning it into a blessing and a motivation to have a good life and work hard for it! So nice to see! God knows what he is doing when he chooses which child ends up with which mommy!
