Hi Madisun, love your podcast! You're one of my favorite KZbinrs. Great interview on motherhood and parenting. I hope this comment will be received with love, because I send it with love. In multiple episodes, you've mentioned 'feminine energy.' As an ex-new ager, now devout Christian, I am not sure what you mean by "femine energy". Maybe it is worth clarifying in the future. This is a term used heavily in the new age in various ways, including "divine feminine", "tapping into feminine energy", "feminine intuitive", "feminine power", etc. I appreciate that you mention things like our God-given roles and things connected to God's love for us though. But it's easy for these teachings to get meshed together and it can be confusing. Jasmyne Theodora is a youtuber as well and has a video on this called Godly Feminity vs. 'Divine' Feminity which is very interesting. Thanks for the great podcast. God bless.

I understand this point. I say it’s important to separate our words and descriptions from the world because it can be so easily misconstrued or used.

The author of Simplicity Parenting is Kim John Payne. It is a life changing book, I highly recommend it. And this state Madisun is describing in children, when they’re out of sorts and need us to slow down for them, he describes as a “soul fever”: a state that needs just as much attention as if they had a physical fever. I love that description and that whole concept. 💕

I just listened to the audio version and it was long but truely great. It confirmed a lot of things that I really felt instinctually, making me more confident in my decisions, and definitely taught me a lot too!

Love hearing about how you take your day of rest. We also try to Sabbath on Sundays. You gave me a new outlook on it from a feminine perspective.

Slow motherhood-one of the most inspiriting and nourishing words I have heard in a long time-and I am not a partent and do not plan to become one. But slow parenthood is such a good Attitude to many things...

Listened over three morning periods of time. I don't really get a day of rest ever, but I also am energetic and don't really mind. Not sure if that makes sense. I am also not stressed easily. I don't know if you ladies go through this, but I am one who compares myself to myself and not to others. I compare myself to my past self but also try to always better myself in the process. It is sometimes hard to go, "Hey, I looked amazing a couple years after having a couple of kids and now that I had another kid, why don't I look like that yet..." without being patient with myself. Stuff like that. Anyway, thanks for this interview/episode. :)

I like that you two keep mentioning the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is the feminine aspect of God. I’ve been learning a little about Aramaic, Yeshua’s (Jesus’s) native language and there is so much more femininity when you look at the Bible in terms of Aramaic (the language Yeshua spoke. The feminine is equally there when you look at this translation.
