The culture of keeping your children as busy as possible and rushing them along does not sit well with my soul. Completely agree with everything you guys mentioned. This was beautiful.Thank you for sharing! 🤍

I had 4 hospital births, and I totally agree about the atmosphere of fear. And with every baby, they tried to push formula. If I hadn't been educated or experienced with nursing, they might have sabotaged my ability to nurse. I was always so relieved when I arrived home and could actually rest and recover in peace.

I love what your husband said about slow living in that “[it] is just an intentional decision about how you want to spend your time.”

One of the best interviews I've ever heard! You are both so real, thoughful, and honest. It brought me such joy going back and time with you and then see your growth together.. Thank you for sharing it with the world.

I love that Kyle says: "...this World's pace is FRANTIC" IF people took a few moments to assess what portion of their lives go to things that have very little to do with themselves & what they love; they would also make their way back to minimal

So, I’m sure the “sex and co-sleeping” convo is hard to have in public online. So, as someone who can pipe up anonymously I’ll say that our family co-sleeps and my husband and I are intimate in the living room after the kids are sleeping. We practice intimacy regularly because it’s a priority for us, not because we sleep in privacy.

This episode reminds me of when my husband and I had a podcast about minimalism about ten years ago or more now (since we are high school sweethearts, I was a minimalist first. . .almost 18 years as one now, and just how you handle things are similar to us). It was really great listening to your journey together. My mom did the Dave Ramsy method long ago in the early 90s and taught me about it in my growing up. You will do great with baby three. I have 3 too.

Thank you! I love this one so much, I love all of the podcast episodes, feels like just hanging out. Also, Kyle reminds me of a combo of my favorite big brother and my hubby, so this felt like hanging out in the living room with my family chatting, just what I needed today. 😊 Thanks for everything you do and provide for the world. ❤️❤️

The whole sports and extra curricular thing just doesn’t exist in the UK. It was eye opening to hear you talk about hours of practice and high school schedules. Once in university you need to start doing internships and volunteering etc to get ahead, but it’s easier to manage at that time and age

And yes the pressures of kids sports are crazy. We have a month long island trip planned to just relax and my daughters cheer decided to start a month earlier to be more competitive 🙄 So its a whole stressful thing

This is so random but what do you guys do about fruit on the counter 😅😅 I want to minimalise my kitchen but we always have bowls of fruit on the counters. Do you hide your fruit?😂
@jencoles9 ай бұрын
I’ve seen some minimalists say they hide theirs and make sure they establish a habit of eating it daily.
@Chrissyhappy8 ай бұрын
I keep mine in the fridge and take some out an hour before eating it. It lasts longer. Stays fresher. Also forces me to be mindful about eating. It’s a deliberate decision then.😊

Have enjoyed your KZbin chats for quite a while. I really wanted to love your podcast, however the overuse of the word "like" is very distracting. The word "like" is not necessary or needed in your sentences. This is not a rude critique, but a tip to improve your podcasts in the future. Please count the "likes" in this podcast. I think you will be surprised how many times you both used it. Keep up the lovely and helpful work. Your information is really appreciated.
