As a former teacher for many years, I have historically been opposed to home schooling or in this case boat schooling, because of the lack of socialization, and it is too easy to become undisciplined. Obviously, there are trade offs as home schooling provides a lot of flexibility for children to pursue their passions. But given the general trend towards indoctrination in the schools especially in the USA, I have totally changed my opinion. As for your kids, I’m literally blown away at how intelligent and focused, they seem to be with learning new things. I have no doubts that they will both have tremendous success with what ever they pursue down the road!

Thankyou so much for your message ! I do often wonder if we deprived the kids of the things that school has to offer but when we meet people , they often say the same as you . Darry hopes to do his A levels next year at a college( they are pre university) but I have no idea how he will get a place without the GCSE exams . I am trying to help him sit some exams this November but it’s a bit like a memory test . But I hope they will do well even without a formal education 🤞
