Transforming Thrift Store Finds into Rustic Crafts and Decor

Are you ready to get crafty?
Today I am sharing some beautiful rustic home decor and craft ideas using items I picked up at the thrift store!
Even if primitive and rustic decor isn't your style, you'll still get some crafting ideas of things to find at the thrift store to transform for your home!
These are budget-friendly crafts using thrift store finds, or items you might already have on hand. It's always fun to repurpose and reuse items you have or haven't used in a while to give them a fresh new look!
I can't wait for you to see these ideas! If you love homespun, rustic decor with a dash of cinnamon, you'll love these ideas!
So grab yourself a cozy blanket, and a hot tea, sit back, relax and let the crafting fun begin!
FAUX BREAD AND MUFFINS - • CRAFT WITH ME | DIY FA...
CINNAMON SALT DOUGH RECIPE
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoons cinnamon (or combination of cinnamon, cloves, allspice, pumpkin pie spice, etc...)
1/2 - 3/4 cup water or liquid variation of water, coffee, coffee grunge, vanilla extract
Mix everything together starting with 1/2 cup liquid, add more as needed until the consistency is like play dough.
Form into desired shapes. Bake in a 170-175 degree oven until dried (2 + hours depending on what you are drying) or you can dry at room temperature.
COFFEE GRUNGE
1 cup hot water
1/2 cup instant coffee
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Mix together. Store in refrigerator when not using.
Let it come to room temperature and give it a shake/stir before using.

That vignette at the end look wonderful and inviting. Love the faux tarts and scones. I have seen people use that type of magazine rack to house a faux flower arrangement for their hearth and it makes a great accent. Great video.😊

I love your muslin homemade pies, but I definitely have been brainstorming lately on how I could make them look more real….. Jen, I have an adorable idea you may want to try… Michaels carries a product that looks exactly like sugar. I took plastic fruit, coated them with Modpodge and sprinkled on the artificial sugar. They’re great during the holidays, and on the tree. p.s. I love everything you did! 🌷

Um, it's not to eat, it's called salt dough. It's for decor to make faux foods. If you watched after the dough was made I painted them.
