I have watched a lot of videos (too many) on wastelands.gaslands builds, and out of nowhere I stumble across someone that is even better at getting a realistic rust look. That tuck looks like the old rusty tools and toys we have laying around

Four hundred and seventy fourth like, plus I subscribed. Really fun to spend a visit with you and I look forward to more. I really appreciate how unconventional your thinking was for this model, also, that you came to the end of appreciating the the model as it was designed and used it as a jumping off point into a superior one of a kind truck. Loved watching this.

I like trucks, but you won me over with your hilarious dry sarcasm. It's great the way you destroy perfectly decent stuff, purpose fit for something else, yet come up with that appealing futuristic gritty look. Definitely could go watch Mad Max after seeing this.

I really liking your videos (and commentary) but a quick question: What do you use to hold your salt on for the rust effect? I have seen people use hair spray and water but yours seems to stick well?
@nickweston19085 жыл бұрын

I love these videos. Every last one of them. What is the material you put on the trucks that looks like salt or rocks. Is it... uh... is it just salt or rocks? I kinda expect it's just salt or rocks. Even more curious now.
@nickweston19086 жыл бұрын
Yeah its salt. Sometimes it looks a bit discoloured because I try to recycle it whenever possible. The idea is you can easily wash it off when the paint dries leaving the masked areas underneath. Thanks for watching Skinster.
@skinslip6 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid to ask... do you wash the salt with a strainer or do you have this ancient 20 year old salt coated in layers of paint? Oh god... maybe I don't want to know.
