Epic scratch and found object and kit bash build all in one! Your dexterity at cutting, tying and glue-work is really amazing. Your ability to eye-ball the right size and make accurate cuts is top notch. Creative and skilful , you built a realistic and "playful" post-apocalyptic piece. Your subtle humor is also delightful. You set the bar high on this post. Please keep posting you work!

May 12, 2018----Outstanding job and thanks for showing how you did it. Never occurred to me to use a section of sprue for a trailer frame. Got into 1/35th scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas and was working on making a trailer, then trying to figure out how to make the leaf springs, etc.

Have to say, great video! I am slowly getting into "post apocalyptic model car building", and I've been watching a lot of videos to get some ideas on what you guys do. Your commentary won me over. I don't care if you post a video of you watering plants, if the commentary is the same, I'm watching it.

doing a post Apoc Kitbash myself to keep sane during lockdown, so far it's a couple of Tamiya 1/35 Wall Sections, some Balsa and the roll from the inside of a lavvy paper, trying to make a "forgotten bunker Entrance " deal, thanks for the Inspiration.

Love how he saw a regular spru and said hey perfect trailer frame with buckles that I can heat and bend around the axles all in one piece I would have never thought of that at all but I do save my sprues that are perfect rectangles with good size or good round pieces that have little flashing for hand rails making railings for stadiums and grandstands around my giant 4 lane 1/24 scale slot car track

This is absolutely amazing. I love this hobby and I love learning about weathering and kit bashing but I'm very green. I just can't put my vision into the physical, like you appear to do so easily. If you get the chance, I'd love some input on my Christine model I made. there's a video on my page. my first real weathering attempt. Thanks for the video; your build is insane

How do you get the salt to stay in place till you scrape it off? Do you glue it somehow, or is the paint enough to stick it down?
@nickweston19086 жыл бұрын
Hi. You have to wet the model first. The water partly dissolves the salt then when it dries it should be stuck. Cheers
@Hamilton_modelworks6 жыл бұрын
you make sure the paint is dry. Then you apply water wherever you want the salt to stick. Apply salt to wet surface and let it dry. once dry, you paint whatever surface color you want and let that dry. once that paint is dry, you take a toothbrush (or your fingers) and simpy rub away the salt. Its called "Salt chipping" and you can find tons of video tutorials on KZbin.

I very much enjoy all your videos and your humor....but there comes a point in almost every video like 3-4 minutes in where the music stops. It is noticeably quiet after and kinda hard to watch. You blew right when the music stopped in this video and it was the only time I found the music stopping to be humorous. Keep making these videos! very inspiring!
