A very weird season for United. Effectively the same defence that got 4th place last season conspired to concede the most goals in the league by far and finish bottom. Replacing Siegrist with a man who is afraid to get hit with a football was a poor choice but the drop-off in other players was bizarre. Mulgrew aged a decade over the summer and Edwards forgot he was able to head the ball. Last time the relegation was calamitous; a total car crash from start to finish. This season was just a slow amble into deeper and deeper quicksand, refusing to turn around.

Its not really the same defence as Ayina wasnt there and Edwards played most of season with Smith at right back and aziz at left back wingers. And had Benji in the goal screaming his head off at them keeping them in shape. The current keepers dont do that and it really isnt the same defensive set up. Benji was the king pin. United could have had 7 or 8 there if they were just slightly better control.

Really hoping the handball rule gets looked at and is changed to whether there is intent. How that can be ruled as handball is ridiculous. It's not possible to jump and get leverage with hands tucked in to the body. The Motherwells player has is back and head away from the ball and it drops out the air and on to his arm. Absolutely ridiculous.

The ball hit mugabi above the shirt line on his arm, he wasn’t even facing the ball and that freak Fletcher elbowed mugabi in the back of the head. That’s 3 clear reasons to why that was never a penalty. But who cares United got relegated 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thought Mugabis positional play was poor throughout. Seems to ball watch instead of going with the striker he's marking. Need to get rid of him. 2nd goal was down to him and Steven Fletcher was given a free header 6yards out. A first division player at best.
