To be fair that’s also what can often happens when ex pats move abroad. However the difference is that is not in such huge numbers where it starts to affect the culture of the country (in modern times anyway) and it’s to other Christian countries. I wonder what reaction it would receive if Pakistan had an huge influx of white Christians who building churches, bring Christian thinking into the local & national governance, not respecting Islamic values etc, etc ….do you think there would be some local negativity to that? We’re even seeing it to a certain extent from the Spanish protesting about the effect mass tourism is having on their housing prices & local culture...and quite rightly so. Also let’s be totally honest, it seems the Arab nations weren’t/aren’t happy about Jews in what they consider to be their region…is that the most extreme case of multiculturalism not working 🤔 For me it’s too late for the UK even if immigration is slowed…it would almost need to be zero for the next 20 years to allow the services & infrastructure to catch. Even then we have too many people who have arrived that haven’t integrated into our historical culture or religious values….and as I explained before I don’t think it’s natural for most to do so. Take as an example going to watch India or Pakistani play at cricket when they come over to England…the majority of the crowd are supporting them even though I’d assume most of the fans were born in the UK. I have an Iranian friend who as he states to me is a non-Muslim which allows him to integrate. He moved here to get a better life after the Islamic revolution & assimilate into British life, our culture, our nation. He pays his taxes, now has a British passport and supports England at football…although will always keep an eye on Iran. That’s what I believe is true multiculturalism. He has a foreign heritage, but wanted to fully integrate fully…in fact he realised that would give him a much happier life!
