I think the SONY sounded better less muffled, but KIM at the time of the original review, the asking price was over over 250.00 now it's just 200.00, so that might be the best value for some of you, who want between 75 to 90 watts with good sound quality for 200.00 but I think there are better choices with less wattage and better clarity: but now have to go all the way down to the X600 that has only 50 watts and still asked to pay 200.00: see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHapc3iGZbKqkMk

For me it’s 100% two Motion Booms over one Motion Boom Plus. Two Motion Booms will play Louder and in Stereo when using Motion Booms TWS pairing function, giving you great stereo separation , battery life is longer and to add the cherry 🍒 to the cake, you can currently buy TWO Motion Booms and still have change, from the price it will cost you for ONE Motion Boom Plus. 💥

I get what you're saying but I wouldn't want to bring around two motion booms. One is already combersome to carry in a backpack without a strap.

What about 2x Motion Boom Plus? That sounds ideal! Also been looking at the UE Hyperboom, though it's absolutely massive in comparison size-wise.

Man! It's between the motion boom plus and the tribit stormbox blast. The soundcore has usb type c charging. The tribit does not. The motion boom plus is dust and water resistant. I'm not sure about the tribit. I know it's water resistant, not sure about dust proof like the motion boom plus. The tribit is advertised at 30hrs of battery life vs. 20 hrs on the boom plus. It might come down to price at this point. Which one will be the better value? We shall see. These releases came right when I am in the market for a new bluetooth speaker. I would like to see the speaker phone function on the boom plus.

Two Motion Booms win hands down !! It is louder , has a wider soundstage, can be used as a stereo pair with a wide sound stage as you can separate them to your preferences. and to sweeten the deal even more, currently two Motion Booms are cheaper than one Motion Boom Plus !

I have both. The Motion Boom Plus is going back to Soundcore. Yes it goes louder and may have a tiny more bass, but it's not enjoyable. It's sound it too bright and thin. The Motion Boom's sound is much more pleasing, warmer and meaty. The Motion Boom isn't perfect though. It's vocals are a bit too muffled. So I'm ordering the Tribit Stombox Blast in hopes of finding a super loud speaker that's more importantly very good.

Only bummer about the Blast is that it only has two RGB color modes, flash or fade, there is no static color option. It isn't a big deal for those who don't care about rgb though.

I agree. Anker Soundcore Motion+ plays bright and thin, but only without customer EQ-preset. But with preset it transforms into another speaker. I have no Motion Boom but saw (was listening) all binaural reviews and I don't like it at all. With price and another parameters it is not better than another speakers of another brands. But Motion Boom Plus is attractive for me. What's your opinion about Motion Boom Plus? Is Plus version "adult" speaker like JBL BoomBox or more simply?

Just received my Stormbox Blast on 6/18. This thing sounds impeccable! I was considering MB+, but changed my mind. Not gonna spend $600 on the Boombox 3. You will love it. Deep bass, clear mids and highs.....and LOUD without distortion. And the lights are cool! 👍

@@-satyro- Mate check Alan Ross reviews ,he’s the best advisor for speakers with detailed graphs .Don’t judge a spear just by listening.You need to know it lies ,highs and peaks on paper ,then you compare .Two motion boom 1st gen will knock out the boom plus easily.I have two booms. 1st gen ,bought one boom plus and it went back to Amazon .Check Alan Ross on KZbin.

I wanted the boom plus, but I've watched several videos and I don't hear enough bass coming from it. I think I'd rather spend my money on a Boombox 3. I know I can get 2 for the price of the Jbl, but I don't want to carry around 2 speakers.

I owned two motion booms for quite a while, I bought two XDOBO X8 Maxes and they have a lot better sub bass extension but it just isn't as reliable and stable, as you can hear rattle when u crank the EQ which I did not have with Anker speakers, I hope the Motion Boom Plus has deep sub bass extension as I wpuld love to pick up two of them

Nothing to be sad about!! Booms sounds much better and "hifier" than the plus. I have two of them in stereo (TWS)... try it if you can. Cheaper and louder! than a single Plus.
