Whenever there's punching or thrusting (non-rotational movements) involved, the accelerometer is used and it's not just gyro controls anymore. Solid list though. Definitely check out WarioWare: Move It as well.

1 game you forgot on here, its a remaster like zelda for the switch, but star wars the force unleashed, was quite entertaining to play with gyros, I did turn them off for a bit to play the game handheld but other than playing it handheld if I was playing it on my tv I was playing it with gyros

the forced gyro is a dealbreaker in splatoon for me. i know a lot of peopel say its more intuitive but i couldn't care less about it personally also bs the motion controls are way worse than wii. MP remake/remaster is virtually unplayable using only motion. then you have those maze puzzles in BOTW...or the fact that shaking the controller gave you extra height for certain moves in mario odyssey almost forcing you to use them for certain moons.. sure it had a few good uses but much like the hd rumble feature for 12 switch its more of a gimmick for the sake of trying to be different than sometihngthat improves the experience imho

Its all experimentation, i agree the joy con gyro arn't perfect, but neither were wii motion controls. Honestly gyro is as good as you make it. There are often options to turn of gyro if its not for you, splatoon doesnt force you to use gyro. BOTW was one of the only annoying times I had with gyro.

@@Switchbored The reason it is not perfect is up to any game implmentation. I use the joycons on pc with rewasd and just bind the gyro to the mouse. most switch games that use gyro implment the gyro output like the right stick. so it is analog and causes a dragg effect and deceleration when you move the controller faster then the stick can move the camera. This is because sticks are a acceleration based aiming system. and a mouse is displacment based. When you tilt the stick a litthe the camera moves slow, when you tilt the stick to the outer ring the camera will spin at its fastest. So the stick has a minimum and maximum turn speed. Mouse aiming has no limit or maximum speed to move the camera. if a game has raw mouse input then 1 degree of movement will result in 1 degree camera movement in game. So gyro needs to behave like a mouse when used on shooters. The dumbest thing is that programming gyro controls only takes 1 person 1 full day of coding to get the good basiscs in. And this is according to one of the lead gyro developers out there, jibbsmart.

Sorry to say this but motion controls are bad in anything other than shooters. motion should not be used for sword things. because it still is not as precise. And this is coming from someone who actually plays every pc shooter with gyro aiming. i feel that mentioning all these games will only hurt the way people see gyro controls. Gyro should not even be mentioned for anything other then shooting. This will only hurt the way people see gyro aiming. because now the first thing when people talk about gyro they will think about sword swings and bowling etc.

@@valorantthesecond6387 You mean my opnion? atleast eplain your own opinions. i would love to know what others think. my opnions are just that, opnions. i am open to other people's opinions. it is really interesting to know what others think. But i just think that using gyro for other things then shooting is helping the stigma of motion controls are bad. And this is coming from someone who uses gyro aiming in all pc shooters. including gyro ratcheting and flick stick. so i love motion aiming. For example i dont like the motion puzzles in breath of the wild. and swortd swings in zelda skyward sword will also not always work correctly. while a good gyro aiming implementation will aslways enhance the game (if gyro behaves like a mouse, and not like the righjt stick ).

@@PuffZombie it is more fun. but without the sensor bar it seemed less accurate then the wi version. but with gyro aiming you can choose to only eable gyro on ads. and you only aim for a small amount of time, so you would not have to wory about it drifting to much.
