Bit too complex for a beginner to follow. Some people are great at what they do, but explain it not so great. The tutorial, is too fast and parts of it are not well explained or shown. Other than that its grea if you know exactly what he is tutoring & are able to re-create this.

Hey i was wondering how did u put together the two animations together, cuz how u showed on the video was thru two seperate comps how did u animate the line to go smoothly with the alpha inverted animation? I cant find a way to do both animations in one comp

How come you still have not answered the question of why the animation seems like 2 separate text. After you made the line, how did you get to the second animation? My second animation is fine, until I do the white box to Alpha matte, nothing happens like yours.

For all the ones who don't know how to link them: You need to precom the first animation, and do the next one with that precom instead of the text.

To clear things up, i guess u should just cut previous animation and put the second comp. Actually there are more diffirent ways to animate, this video just shows the technique and the complete thing is only up to you! So glhf

hey! Right in the left side of the preview horizontal bar, there is like a little graphic symbol. click there, this is the graph motion. the motion v2 is a plug-in... but is the same tool ;)

Select all of them go to layer tab and click pre compose then you’ll have all of them together as one layer and then do as the tutorial say

it's really easy, in fact you don't even need 2 comps. You can actually make it with 1.

Sorry for the confusion, Motion 2 is is a third party script which you have to buy separately. What you can do is search “how to easy ease keyframes in AE” on youtube and you can use that technique to smooth out your animation

You can't make a tutorial, not finish it, and then NOT be there to answer people's questions; it's extremely frustrating. I'm fairly new to after effects and I spent an hour making the first half of the comp only to spend another hour to make the second half of the comp that overwrites the previous one and deletes my progress. And when I finally do get everything made, I get to the end of the tutorial waiting for you to show us how you combined the two parts but you never do. Waste of time.
