The issue is a lot of people already had this preconceived notion that Motion were gonna “get their lick back” from the Settes bc of the damage Laneia did. But Lay said no ma’am and they put on a hell of a performance! The creativity alone from the Settes did it for me, then add the new counts and cleanliness! Kayla King performs her ass off & dances with every fiber in her body, and that team is so clean as well! Both teams did amazing, and neither team got devoured. This “win” all comes down to preference at the end of the day, so fighting for your life in the comments trying to prove your team won is pretty pointless.

Where Motion seems to lose points for me is this is considered a home game for them, but the Settes look more clean/uniform than they do in their own stadium and stands (way fewer girls and cleaner formation) Im a Sting fan, so I have no allegiance to either team. But the Settes look more settled in their STYLE here. I have to kinda agree with the person who keeps mentioning that Motion has an identity crisis. They can never win a battle without going to some extreme stand moment because they lack a solid base/foundation that’s unique to them enough to carry a 5th quarter. You’re the Ocean & Waves… but you’re also Tigers… yet you’re also supposedly the “class act” (how? genuinely asking what makes them the class act of the Swac?) Choreography is a TEN but there’s a reason they rely on stand moments… the only way their stand moment would’ve landed for me is if Laneia was still on the team…. She’s the one who parted the sea and she’s not even there to see this supposed King of the Hill moment they tried to recreate. Side note: Please be respectful, all these girls are super talented and this is just my opinion. Theres no need to be defensive or disrespectful in a response. Both teams have elevated Swac dance regardless ❤

Ok, Morgan u started off WRONG… Motion clearly ate up that first song/round off top. She actually LEAD from the back if you pay attention. Settes didn’t do that. And the choreo was better from motion IMO. Two total different routines.

I will say Motion is the most complex, collegiate, and always done differently than just throwing their counts in unison and calling it a “stand routine”. The choreography gives something you’d see on TV rather than majorette. Especially the circle chair routine. Hats off to Dani and those young ladies! I’m sorry the girls can’t be touched when it comes to stand routines. LBH

Overall Motions Ate The Settes! I’m sorry he didn’t see the wardrobe malfunction with the setts which didn’t matter but this a battle you take and create. The motion did it all from the field to the stands! I understand that a lot of ppl settes fans they really did eat but I was really expecting more creativity from them imo they gave 75% of it and kept it on the safe side! Not to mention two of the setts on the field damn near crashed at the end of the field end of the field show! I wished Morgan view the front of the field show for the motion so he could actually see the visional from the front angle of the field show! Both did they thing though they both are my top two dance teams this year. Oan you said you didn’t like the fact that the motions did that but what about the GGs Did the same and what about when the stingettes did it to the GGs And What about the stingettes did it to the dolls. It’s A Diss No shade but we all know you like the setts but motions ate that!

I will say Kayla was tail in ‘22 so while the jsettes concept last year was based around beautiful and eccentric formations, motion was more like a semi-solo for Kayla. It really is a full circle captain and tail moment. Theme: head AND the tail

Motion moves are so detailed. Without accuracy, it won't work no if not as a team. I feel like J-Settes moves are simple, cute, but simple, and I don't care for the order of dance rotation. They always have clean arms and hands straight lines 👌

Your enthusiasm when commentating is infectious and I love it. You are entitled to your opinion however motion is by far the better dance team. Their dancing shows their development in the art form of dance. Their technique and layers and transitions show difficulty in the stands as well as the field. It's more to dance than p popping and gyrations. the idea of mocking is to show that we can take what you do and do it better. It's really a statement to say bitch you ain't done nothing. Motions captain can dance professionally right now her showmanship, technique and passion for the craft is phenomenal and it shows in her dancing. Settes lay over timing was off no level of difficulty really is rather uninspiring. Motion all day

This was a great battle. However, Motion's version of parting the no way matched the build-up. Cause she did strut up them steps, and I was like S..T! They are about to crush the Settes. I was underwhelmed. The way the Settes laid waste to Motion last season, they should have been executing Simone Biles flips and summersaults in them damn stands. Both teams were clean as hell and ready for the other. Ocean Of Soul sounded great as well as The Boom. Great battle across the board.

I really enjoyed both squads! Best battle to me this season thus far. BOTH came prepared with something, and this was way better than the BoomBox classic. I honestly feel that had Motion brought something "totally new" and "totally different" routine-wise, I still feel like some would have still said the same thing, I honestly do. Because when they brought "something new" for example the circle routine "Pyramids" SU or a few other routines they have done, I also kept seeing "some OhhhHHh this too muchHhhhh" "they do too MucCCch". Is it? That's starting to be a go-to comment for some when it comes to Motion. But hey, to each his own. Just my opinion

Both Squads put on an excellent show but I think Motion won this round. To me they just seemed more entertaining.. The J-Settes didn't have an answer for the 3rd and 4th rounds of the zero quarter. If I had to score it would be Motion 10, J-Settes 9.4. The J-Settes field show to me would have put them over had it not been for that obvious hiccup. But this was a classic both squads came for blood and didn't disappoint
