Wow that is a pretty nice tank for sure. Loved the function check. I had no idea those tanks had all of those different functions. Thanks for the video.

I like the fact that the Tongde boards have servo functions.

I served on the M60A3 TTS for a couple of years before I moved on to the M1A1. The M60A3 was a good tank. My biggest gripes would be that they are painfully slow and underpowered and the suspension was just never up to the task considering the weight of the tank. It was slow getting the 105 up to ground height when in defilade, and you had to put immense pressure (usually both feet) on the brakes to stop it. I would say your RC version would win in a race with the actual M60. 😄 Was a real workout to drive unlike the Abrams. I did like all the room inside the turret, although shell casings bouncing around without a turret cage could be interesting. Probably the roomiest turret I have ever been in as far as an MBT. The M85 .50 Cal was an interesting idea but in reality it sucked and was just not reliable. The thermals (TTS) on the M60A3 were actually better than the TIS that the Abrams had at the time. The FCS was quite good. Had wind sensor, cant, laser rangefinder and a ballistic computer. We still had the artillery azimuths on ours though. Gun was accurate once you found the track speed that the stabilization liked while on the move, but the Abrams was much better. I think the suspensions of both respective tanks had a lot to do with that. Think of the difference between driving a model T compared to a new Cadillac. I could go on about it for hours, but my post is already turning into a wall of text. I do miss my time on it, but I guess I can now buy one of these and pretend! Cool video. I hope you post another one up when you are finished putting it together.

I served on the M1IP and the M1A1 never had the privilege of working on an M-60. a bunch of my friends did I always heard it was a great defensive tank. Thanks for watching. I hope you subscribed stay tuned.

Very impressive! I built the Tamiya M60 in 1/35 scale back in the day. I didn't know there were any replicas of the KV-I or KV-II available; Klimenti Voroshilov must be smiling down on you.

DKLM RC does a nice suspension replacement for the M60 Tongde, it takes the tank to the next level, you should give them a check
