Ugh, good reminder +10 pts to you 😳🤦 tbh been on my list for 2-3 years and have kept meaning to record the full documentation for YT ... then we get working on the actual "code-side" of the updates and I get sidetracked in a loop... I guess for a couple years haha On any new updates syncing (v4.0.5, v4.0.6 etc) I'm planning to record a mini-video like this one covering most portions of each release. Also, was thinking about posting Shorts to go over individual tool in a Playlist quick? If I can't get videos uploaded or documentation together soon, I'll reach out to Jake though, that's a good suggestion 👍 Anyway, thanks for stopping the channel and support!

I don’t know what I’d do without Motion. Matt, you are phenomenal. That effect is pretty cool. Can’t see using it very often, though. I’ll have to tool around with it a bit. Might be wicked cool to use it with text.

We will some diff. types of Canvas's syncing that are much more interesting - so hope you do check it out sometime (they are shaping up to be pretty dang cool) Also, I'll post a YT video this week about more interesting uses for Canvas like w/ text, 3D cams and displacements effects you might dig - this video was little "basic" tbh Appreciate you stopping by the channel ✌️

Trying to start recording "changelog" videos when big updates sync - v4.0.4 had some interesting new simulation stuff I wanted to show ✌️ sooner or later I'll upload an old-school tutorial covering something super rad!

I'd love an actual walkthrough of v4. The UI is so different, nothing works like it did in v3, and basically has no documentation at all. Tool names are still cryptic, and now I can't even add my most used ones to the home page?

Fair and tbh I have been slow on getting full documentation out 🙏 I'll get a full overview of everything up on YT in the next 3-ish weeks (or sooner if I can). Also, there will be a "changelog" video like this one for each update that will show any big changes. You can still add your most used tools to Home. If you go the the Tools screen and click "Pin Tools" (button on the Categories column) you can choose your Favorites to display. Anyway, thanks for the reminder I legit needed to get an Overview uploaded (t-minus 3 wks) and found endless new ways to procrastinate 🤦 bahaha Thanks for the support and reminder friend!

Since V4 update the easing tool "lost" it's funtionality to quickly apply the same precentage many times. Since I always move the sliders a touch when clicking on them to apply an ease. Would love to see a fix.

if you click the pill in the middle of the sliders it applies what is already set to any selected keyframes

Thanks for sharing that tip out! 🌟 - also, some updates are coming to also make the whole UI more modular. Should sync out in maybe 2-3 updates? You will be able to choose your preference for the old-school 3-sliders, winged sliders, or a "big bar' style slider for the Easings (+ another new type of input choice )

Wondering what canvas would be useful for. If you could assign a custom "sprite" [shape] instead of each dot, it would be interesting...

Hmmm we'll look into this. Next update for Canvas should have particle size adjustments and possibly sprites (cool suggestion) - we also have a new Emitter tool that should also have sprite capability.

Yeah, I’m struggling to find any use case for canvas. A custom sprite, or being able to have a layer be the square affected would be great. Not talking just using it as a transition matte, but that the part of the image/layer in that dot actually moves with the dot, like Shatter.

heyy i dont know if u are going to see this comment but i have trouble using canvas xp ... emmiter works pretty well but canvas cant load + when i try to record something even if its aint loading i have a path error (wrong path) message popping

What's up - good suggestion. In the next update to Boombox we can probably get this added 👍 (working on a nice UI+workflow update rn syncs out to Bᵇ in a couple weeks) I did check our [e-mail] and don't see any messages from you tbh? We've answered 10k+ emails this year alone, and do our best to handle every support email that drops in. Apologies if we missed yours friend ✌️

Hmm this is a possibility - you'd want a Language selection for Mandarin? We could probably add some selection for 10 most common languages. Might not be too difficult to integrate, but not sure how challenging atm 🤦 Thank you for the suggestion and stopping by the channel! I'll look into this
