Chris “Motionless” Cerulli: This is the companion track to “Werewolf”. Both of them are about the conversation between the two parts of myself. I have my normal, compassionate self that I typically live my daily life with. Then I have what I think is a really ugly side of myself, which is really angry with explosive rage. That side of myself has ruined things in my life many times because it just takes over, and I can’t control it. In my therapy sessions, we refer to it as the werewolf because it’s appropriate to my personality, being a big fan of horror and Halloween and everything. So, “Werewolf” and “Porcelain” are essentially the same lyrical track split up over two songs.

@claireguillon75962 жыл бұрын
@@julieharrison5772 I'm not the word of law on interpretation I'm not Chris haha but for me it's sung from the perspective of a powerful charismatic man who's used to being not really emotionally involved with the woman he's dating until this one that he could see was special, different but yet fragile and he could recognize how hurtful he had the potential to be, how if he behaved as usual, he could destroy her even though this time he really cared about her.. But that wasn't enough to make him change his toxic traits and he did as usual, broke her but she left and he now acknowledges what a waste it's all been and what his behavior really cost them both. Anyone free to correct me if Chris gave another "official" meaning!
@alexisanderson89632 жыл бұрын
@@julieharrison5772 I read an article somewhere that explained Werewolf, Porcelain, and Slaughterhouse are all tied and intentionally in their order. Werewolf is supposedly about his aggressive side, and this one like a "the damage is done." Don't remember what Slaughterhouse was. They're all obviously open to interpretation. In this one I'm pretty sure he's referencing Werewolf. "Howled a wrecking ball." "Beast inside." "Covered my tracks." Etc
