Best channel I have found. Starting BJJ at 42 and I can appreciate the honesty. Thank you for your content.

60+ and training BJJ. I doubt that would be the case if I had not started with almost the exact steps you describe about 15 years ago. Started walking around the parking lot for lunch, and doing one set of push-ups and squats in the morning. After a while I added a pull up bar and pull-ups. Later I worked in some hand-stand push ups. After a few years I felt in good enough shape then to venture into some kind of martial arts training, and now I'm training BJJ with mostly much younger, stronger guys and love it. It works. Baby steps, consistency, perseverance. Journey of 1000 miles starts with that first, single step. I know it's cliché, but it works.

Great advise Professor. I stopped beverages with sugar since my early 30’s. Jiu Jitsu keeps me in shape which motivates me to eat well. To feed the machine good food to help the machine run smooth. 💪🏼🥋

Curiously this video has made me super motivated! 😁 Gave up sugar over 10 ten years ago, and just a couple months ago gave up the morning pastry, and now cutting down on excess refined carbs. The benefits have been real and tangible, I've lost weight and boosted my energy levels! Dig your channel 👍👍

I'd just like to thank you for the beautiful content in your channel. Your words seem to be just what I need at this time in my life. I'm 44 and getting ready to start my BJJ journey. I've lived a life of fear for so long and maybe BJJ can help me finally reach my potential.

I once ordered a 80 lb Kettle Bell and had it delivered to my Office Cubical. I damn near killed our office delivery guy. I used it to supplement my gym workouts.

I have noticed in my classes the students that stay are the ones who say "This is just what I do now" the ones that drop out after a while are the ones who come in all fired up, buy a Gi on day one and pay 6 months in advance.

This is literally the best Yt Channel I found in a while. Your Videos are so good. I‘m 16 now, and after I found your Channel I‘m now sure to do BJJ. My local Gym reopens in September, I will go there instantly. I hope BJJ will help me with my problems in the everyday life and also my unfitness. Thanks man.

When someone more articulated than yourself explains to you what you have already mumbled in your mind forever😊 If you need motivation in order to do something then that something probably is not for you.

Putting in work when you aren't motivated probably makes up 90% of your day. Maybe more. Life's easy when your motivated. It's when you're not motivated that you find out what you're made of. That's reality.

I love motivation itself. It always feels nice to do something when you are really inspired to do it. I just hate that it comes and goes. I am learning to accept that truth. I love that you used the word dedication because I expected discipline, and for some reason, the word dedication hit me differently. I’m suddenly highly motivated. 😄. Love the content professor.

2000+2000+2000=6000 let say 2 seconds average for one move (such as one squat), 6000x2=12000 seconds = at least 3 hours plus none stop work out daily . Amazing

Lol that is motivating. Really that van can be a palace to a person that has nothing. Crazy how the levels of Circumstance can be. I hope you can find some comfort in that van if so. You are rich. Their people with mentions that can’t find comfort.
