I love this going to show my husband too. This is great & we are 58 & he’s 62 this is an exercise we can do. He plays hockey still twice a week ( since he was 5 ) but his eating habits need help. He’s stubborn tho. He has heart disease on both mother & fathers side & a Alzheimer’s-his mom & grandma, I wish he would take diet more serious! He has Nestle Quick powder TONS of it every day & some candy everyday & a hostess cupcake with his lunch !!! He is borderline diabetic his father is a diabetic, he is terrified of shots too. You think he would care more. He always thinks it can’t happen to him I think, I am afraid of insulin resistance with him. He tells me he gets a stomach ache every time he eats now. I read that can be a sign of diabetes. I’m so concerned but I can’t get him to take it seriously. Any advice from anyone ??? I love him & want to grow old with him. He’s a good man. He’s so good to me. I want to help him. I’m not sure how ??

Dr. Mandell, I love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 You to The Moon and Back. I just started on my diet using the Almased Nutrition Drink twice daily and one balanced meal per day. I also take a multivitamin at bedtime, magnesium 400mg and a Liver Detox with my meal. I've lost weight!!! I went from 262lbs to 249lbs in a little over 3 weeks 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 along with your exercises. I wish that you were here so that I could give you a big hug 🫂 🤗. I have an L - 7 disc that has me looking like the letter Z laid sideways. Don't take multivitamins at night, but with a meal, so you can uptake them--several are fat soluble, So no point in taking them at the wrong time. And also don't eat or drink ANYthing within 2 hours of going to bed for several reasons, not the least of which is your liver needs to NOT be digesting anything so it can repair your body while you sleep. I had a thoracic disc that was sideways in my neck until a wonderful physician sent me to a myofascial trigger point release therapist (not a massage therapist), who worked diligently to put my vertebra back in place, and helped it stay there. That was over 17 years ago. I had been in pain for 17 years beforehand, after a bad car crash. Praise God! Seriously, myofascial trigger point release therapy can give you your life back. Check it out.

Remember most people don't know what rhomboids are. Most people don't know what neck flexors are. Leave that stuff out. It's not necessary. Keep it short and concise. Could be 1/3 the length and provide the same information. Good luck and thank you

It’s vitally important that people have a mind-muscle connection good enough that they can activate these individual muscles. The root issue of forward head posture is weak flexors, mid-delt, lower traps and abdomen. People are already preconditioned to not use these weaker, untrained muscles. If they don’t intentionally focus on firing said muscles, odds are muscle memory will kick in and they will just compound the issue.

Good luck. If you have been in a dysfunctional posture for several years no amout of corrective exercise will fix it.
