Yup I went hard from 14-39, + weed, cocaine you name it. Said to myself, time to retire this life, quit cold turkey. Now 46 I only 7 years went from a one bedroom apartment with zero in the bank, to a house, 4 year old and a +30K portfolios and have read 40+ books on mind and finances 👍🏼🇨🇦. Including his 2 books.

I've had 1 alcoholic drink since April 2023. I've never had a problem, it just started as a way to be healthier & to save myself money & keep my mind clear & focused. The thing I alway love is people acting like I'm a crazy person when I tell them I don't drink alcohol.

Wow. Really. As a former Bartender. There are GREAT non alcoholic beverages created in the bar. Any bartender who sees otherwise is ignorant. Friends on the other hand are not your friends.

Im 5 days sober. It seems to get easier every day. The first night was bad, the second a little better. By the 3rd night the nausea was going away. On the 4th I slept better, and felt less anxious. Today is better than I have felt in a long time. Im staying sober for my family.

focus on work and a hobbie, and stay away from drinking freinds, they will suck you back in.

Focus on your benefits of not drinking in health and then remind yourself that the drinking pleasure is false dopamine, it is not real it pulls you actually down, numbs you, I do not like to be pulled down! Make it your mantra and it goes a lot easier.

It was never meant to be easy on the road of living with clarity & living a genuine life you deserve and will earn with your daily actions. It's in you to be great. You have to dig deep within your mind and create small activities to stack victories for yourself day in and day out. I believe you in you more than you know it. Believe in yourself! 🙏🏼

Great explanation. I was a really heavy drinker, experiencing delirium tremens and tried to buy happiness all the time until I hit the wall. My life crashed, but then I realized it just started, I have no cravings for alcohol or feeding the reward system. I'm finally free...

You know, truthfully alcoholism is all in the mind. For years I’d assumed I was a functioning alcoholic and had people talking about my drinking although they’ve never seen me drunk as I only drank until I felt tipsy and I was a happy drunk. However, on the 5th December 2022 all of a sudden I just stopped drinking, thinking at the time maybe I was under the weather and not feeling it and that was really it. Since then I probably had about 5 drinks but nothing more. Having an addictive personality is a mindset that can be broken. I’ve had depressions all my life but things can only affect you if you let it. It all depends if a person is of a strong mind

Exactly if you programme the subconscious to not drink you won’t. The body craves the addiction. Addiction to yoir mobile phone is biggest disease out there today. They can’t go even 1 hr without it unless they are unconscious

Alcohol addiction made me lose my wife... I am better now and have been sober for a year, but she wouldn't give me a second chance. I have battled depression since my wife left me. I have tried all I can to make her see that I love her with everything I am made of but she has insisted on leaving. This has made me so empty, and I do not know what to do. I can barely function properly at work. I am frustrated and miserable. I really miss her.

I quit drinking in 2019 and never looked back. I have to say quitting alcohol is the most powerful asset to my success today. It goes from wanting a drink every day, to quitting cold turkey, to feeling ‘meh’ for two weeks, to forgetting why you picked up a bottle of liquor in the first place months later. Now, 5 years later there’s ZERO temptation to go back or even have a sip. I’ve been around alcohol numerous times in these 5 years and I’m at the point where I can clearly see how it’s poison to the mind and body. If you’re still struggling, just stop! Either you stop, or you don’t WANT to stop and you can continue to destroy your life. We don’t care, you have to care. Good luck.

I dont drink, haven't for years. But there is a difference between a glass a wine person and a black out drunk like me. The oldest people I know drink wine and are healthy at 90!!!! The ones who don't drink at all or excessive, stroke out at 50.

I drink occasionally so I’m not addicted. I can take it or leave it. Definitely better when I have zero so I’m drinking less and less. Once every few months. I was drinking a bottle of red wine a day at least 15 years ago so you can beat this with your mind.

Try thrive recovery with Katie. The drug naltrexone and will retrain your brain. Until you get to the point where you have new dopamine receptors/healthy ones I am doing it now. I have many addictions my worst one was alcohol. 👍🏻🤗

Dr Joe has spoken about drinking wine since he was 5 and it's part of his culture being Italian and he takes people on tours at vineyards. He speaks about the health benefits of drinking red wine and speaks about experiments he has done on London Real. He speaks about drinking cocktails until sunrise with quantum physicists so this title is misleading
Dr Joe said ‘drug’ not alcohol. He said you might want to give up drinking, addiction is not good. How many are addicted to their phones? Or junk food?
