I also wrestled and still wrestle with obedience and I am glad that Matt Chandler is honest in his sermons and speaks out of his heart because is the only way I can be helped, understand the truth, and stop being so harsh on me and others. I find peace in God's word. I fear Him but I have found genuine love for Him. Thank you Matt Chandler

Mr. Spock this the 3rd or 4th time I've seen you comment something similar on a sermon video. You're so upset about believers believing that you feel the need to swear and insult. You're probably upset that "Christians force their beliefs on me" or "believers are morons" yet you continually troll the comment section to make others miserable, or force your own set of values on them. Ironic. You need to know that you're doing God's work even by rebuking him. Whether you believe or not, you are working for the Lord. I pray your heart softens and that you find him. He loves you.

Roger walter He actually says "pursue Jesus Christ" "Christ" "obedience in Christ" and "Praise Christ" just in the first 3.5 minutes; from 2minutes when he starts getting into the sermon to 3.5 minutes he says this. Some pastors are afraid to emphasize Christ or Jesus because they want to include as many people as possible but Matt Chandler is not afriad to do this at all and that's why I love his sermons. Please watch his "God is for God" sermon it's one of the best sermons i've ever heard. Matt Chandler is not the type of preacher that is afraid to be real about scripture and that's why his sermons can help many Christians! God bless!

41:20 I find so many Christians walk in this place. "Everything's fine" or "Just livin' in God's grace" are typical responses to inquiries of how they're doing. The truth is that without letting others know that you're struggling, you can't get the prayer and help that you need.

Cart Commander The same word God used to create the heavens and the earth He uses to re-create in us a new heart. It the word that does the work, not us!! The same supernatural power used to create the universe God uses to transform our hearts, if we allow it to dwell inside of us. Praise God for that 🙌 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:5,7-8 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. John 15:3-4 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. John 8:31-34 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. 1 John 2:14 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:6,9 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

It's tough. My desire for women changed in the last year. I used to be very selective in who I was attracted too. I asked God to give me the gift of not being shallow. Now, I find a whole other category of women attractive, beautiful, and sexual. You would think this is a good thing, but it's a curse. The temptations of the flesh are otherworldly at this point. It's mental torture to resist in God's name. I long for either a wife, or to just be rid of the desire of it all together. Ugh...

Not trying to refute anything necessarily, sincerely wondering. What do you do when you encounter God calling directly for a sometimes structured community of believers to act in that way?
