Any input appreciated…….i think baby D was tipping point for Brearey, would have triggered a massive inspection….there were inspections after baby d but Brearey and others able to at least contain

They had defence expert witnesses but didn’t put them on the witness stand because they’d inevitably help the prosecution based on the wealth of evidence against her

@@RockHunter-v7j actually the judge ruled that if anyone wanted to stand as a witness for the testimony in court, they had to go the the police and Mr Richard Gill wanted to but he was refused. The only one person that was allowed to stand for her defence was Mr Lorenzo Mansutti, the hospital plumber. He by the way had some very important issues on the stage of a maternity ward contaminated with raw sewage but this was brushed off mostly by the court as being largely irrelevant, and he also lost his contract from the hospital as a result of testifying in court. I’ve also heard that certain nurses who worked alongside Lucy were told by their superiors that if they were thinking of going to speak at the trial for her defence, then they might need to consider another career. Everything was stacked against Lucy from the very beginning and that included refusing to look at alternative reasons as to why these babies had died. Remember that had six of the seven had been found to have natural deaths by the post mortem yet Dr Dewi Evans, having no speciality in neo natal care, deemed after reading the notes for ten minutes, they had all been murdered! In addition the police didn’t even look into the person who was accusing Lucy, who we now know was a doctor who is presently being charged with one of the deaths of these tiny infants. So there is a motive right there to use Lucy as a scapegoat to cover up the failings and Mail practice of these other doctors. Sadly they already knew that parents of the babies were taking legal action against them, but this was all dropped once the Lucy Letby case was opened.

The problem with the court transcripts is that they refused to allow anyone else to speak for Lucy’s defence other than Mr Lorenzo Mansutti, the plumber. Everyone was biased against her from the beginning and no other alternative reasons as to why these babies died was ever considered.

⁠@@RockHunter-v7j the only witness that the police allowed to stand for Lucy was the plumber, Mr Lorenzo Mansutti who talked about a nasty ward full of raw sewage. Other witnesses were refused to stand for her defence or told quite plainly by the hospital that if they thought about speaking up for her defence they should start to consider looking for alternative careers. The police didn’t even look into the possible motives for the people who were going to the police about Lucy. Turned out they already were under police investigation because the parents of the babies that had died weren’t happy and were taking legal action. This was all dropped after the investigation into Lucy Letby began.
