I've failed and failed and failed quitting alcohol a thousand times. But I keep getting up again. Currently sober and running my 4th 1/marathon. If I can do it anyone can. Don't give up on any of your struggles. I get up at 4 am weights or running by 5 am. Go get it. I'm 62 and I'm crushing it. Oh I also got Covid and had a minor stroke 3 years ago. Won't let it stop me!

While you keep trying nothing's lost yet, despite you've failed it so many times... Perseverance even failing is still progress, it's part of the process, not giving up even in the worst times is the only thing that matters, only persevering you'll get out of there. I wish you the best...

Someone kindly like my comment every time you come here. After going through mild and moderate depression for the last three years. I've failed so many times to count. I've started over so many times but am not giving up... Today September 1st 2024 I've committed again for the 1,087,231 time to start again... Allow myself to heal emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically. I've just arrived at the gym starting from 186 pounds or 130kgs and am committing to eating healthy, hydrating, getting enough sleep, stop scrolling too much and just allowing myself to be ok. Thank you for this video 🙏

@@edwardhovitz1753this is on point. i’m reading a really good book, a bit niche, called How to Break Your Addiction to a Person and they point out that often times because of childhood we look to others/external validators to confirm we exist. It’s a pattern and a habit and when you become aware of it as an adult you can realize that it is irrational. And it is too much to expect of the world. The negative emotional response is conditioning, much like a dog is conditioned. I’ve been trying to use that fear feeling as an indicator to go into it. I closed off the last few internet avenues I had to keep tabs on my ex and am going to start living my life FOR ME, not stupid hoping she will notice and performing etc. OP you got this. Find where the fear and the sore spots are in your life and ask why they are there and if you need them anymore. The way out of the pain is through, at least for me

The 1,000 mile journey starts with 1 step. All the times you restarted are more steps in the direction you want to go. I've restarted many times as well. Lately, things are sticking. I'm just tired of the status quo. I'm sure I'll slip up at times, it's inevitable. We just have to admit it, own it and get back on the horse. I wish you luck stranger.

I was almost two months sober. I lacked 2 days from two months. the alcohol that broke my sobriety wasn't worth it. "it sucked." I still find myself picking up the bottle. I'm 30 years young and can only go two days without drinking. Without spilling my guts out. I'll tell you, when you are sick and tired of being sick and tired you will get better. It has to be YOU though. No one can make you put a bottle down or make you quit a habit. Stay strong and be sober, take it one day at a time. Don't feel bad if you fall... rest, and clime back up. Don't quit because when you do the drug will KILL you. I'm going to wake up tomorrow and try a little bit harder... start with 24 hrs.. Don't look at other people's milestones; set your own records and work off those.. That's my two cent.
