Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior Ultimate Review - Daily, Towing, Off Road and more.

Nissan's latest model of Navara is the N-Trek Warrior. Developed locally by Premcar, it could be the ultimate all rounder, with improved off road ability as well as better ride, handling and towing ability. On top of all that, its well equipped, comfortable and looks mint. We test out what it can and cant do, and most importantly for us, how well it works as a daily during the week and support vehicle on the weekend.

I just want to say props for saying 'people who want to dabble in offroading' So true, everyone on facebook says you need a Patrol, or Landcruiser otherwise you can't do anything off road at all. Realistically, most people don't need INSANE levels off offroad capabilities, and you can get into some pretty hectic places with a modern 4wd with IFS etc.

Mate try out the Ranger Wildtrak 3.2ltr and put an iDrive on it they are wicked comfy, great offroad and good for kids, camping towing etc and i picked mine up for 58k before upgrading to an LC200 Sahara

They are a great dual cab, yes the engine is a bit piss weak but it’s my daily and it does everything I need it to and more.. Good value and the only dual cab with coils in the rear, so it’s super comfy and doesn’t have leaf springs off a horse cart like the rest. (Besides the Raptor with IRS).

Very nice, yeh a bit pricey but if you can afford it you would be happy with overall package, especially ride quality. I tested all the other utes for a year before and found the leaf spring rear setup and stock body roll way too much to ask a family for long distance comfort. Sure you can aftermarket suspension and I was going to do that on a new stock ute but having it all done with all the other included details was great.

A bigger engine would cost too much to engineer. I feel like the value of the Warrior (even the current Pro-4X Warrior) is that it is compelling against the more expensive Wildtrak, Rugged-X and Raptor. In saying that, $2k for a custom Dyno tune and the power should be a sweet spot

We had 1100kg+ on it so total trailer weight was 1.6-1.8 tonnes. That’s not no weight. That’s enough to test it out.

I’m mostly shocked at the price. Yeah it’s definitely cheaper than some, but I bought myself a Colorado LTZ for 50k 6 months ago (can get them even cheaper now), I’ve added pretty much everything that Warrior has and it still ended up WAY less than 65k. Only thing I’m missing compared to this is the leather, but I have more power and more torque.

its still a 2.3 twin turbo turd... nissan did it right with only a few of the older versions of diesel.. the as always td42 simple and easy and the STX 550 3.0ltr turbo Diesel v6 is what they should have kept on the range we would all rush out to buy one

Ah the price but, that’s the only downside to these tricked up ponies. Get an STX and spend the savings on your own aftermarket mods to make it even more capable. $65k for a ute just screams insanity to me..

​@@MotiveVideo V6 amarok is way better in every way for someone who wants something that drives like a car and they make 190rwkw with a remap. That's also coming from someone who owns a 240kw 900nm at the wheels diesel Hilux, built motor, big turbo, injectors etc. with all-new suspension and swaybars as a daily so no owner bias. Nav isn't bad but it just has nothing on the V6 amarok. The Mazda, Ford and Mitsubishi are all junk, Nav and Hilux are fine, Amarok number 1. Also my Hilux did 70,000km while making 240rwkw on an unopened engine. I only just got a full engine rebuild because I haven't needed it while working from home and the engine builder said the bottom end was in good condition just had some carbon buildup in the intake from the previous owner before I disabled EGR. I have a friend who has cracked 2 heads on a 3.2 ford. Mazda and Mitsubishi blow turbos and crack heads like nothing else as well.

Should have got an v6 amarok they shit all over all the other duel cabs on the market they drive like a golf but just take off when you want even with a car on the back as evidenced by a mate and I dragging people on Windsor Rd with a r31 on the back n a tray full of tools n 4 people in the car compared especially with the current hilux that struggled to tow a bare car trailer let alone with a car

These Renault powered Navaras are absolute junk and the engines are lemons unlikely to reach 250,000km without needing replacement like all modern Nissan (except R35 coils) Nissan is far from the company they used to be in the 80’s and 90’s.
