Tommy Lee said in some interview "I never wanted that Corabi leave the band... those years were the best for the inspiration of the crue's compositions". And I'm completely agree. The Motley Crue Album was the best of 90's and today I still enjoy. We just must hear the music and the great Corabi's voice.

I think this album kicked ass and was one of their best. Corabi vocals are awesome. Lyrics so good.

The Corabi Crue album is my favorite. "People" hated this album when it came out...but I also remember them hating Vince's album, too...and he had Steve Stevens playing with him-who f'n rocks! Today though, its THIS album that can people start looking at with a fresh set of eyes and say, "GODDAMN THAT'S SOME KILLER MUSIC!" The difference is simple: Vince is a PERFORMER, while Corabi is a MUSICIAN. Same could be said about Van Halen: Hagar & Cherone are to Corabi as Roth is to Vince.

I loved the early Crue stuff, but sometimes I think they should have went ahead with this lineup from that point. Would have been cool to see a Vince reunion tour, but as far as albums and songwriting go, this is vastly more relevant than anything they've done since. You can tell Tommy, Mick and Nikki are more into it. They're more confident in their singer's ability. Not knocking the old stuff, it's my favorite. But you can't go back in time. This was a very good album and it's a shame they didn't explore the possibilities of this lineup more.
@bossnfrank10 жыл бұрын
Right on the money. I couldn't have said it better. Such a great album. It's a shame Nikki caved and brought Vince back. It certainly didn't help the sales of Generation Swine. I wonder if Nikki would make the same decision if he knew bringing Vince back wasn't going to bring their album sales back. I doubt it. Corabi is playing this whole album on tour right now.

Dale Strom Me to!!! I mean like the old stuff as well as this stuff. This record with Corabi is Just Amazing!!! It's on my top ten list. =) Funny thing is that Mötley Crüe is the only band that's on my favourite list as well as on my shit list. They're on my favourite list with "Mötley Crüe (1994)" and one my shit list with the album "Generation Swine (1997)". I like the cool version of "Shout At the Devil" as well as the song "Glitter" but other than that, I think it's the worst crap they've ever put out (or anybody put out).

Damn!! Nice seeing this. I saw the 1994 show at Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville right before they canceled the tour. Had 3rd row seats. Before the concert, they held an autograph session at Cat’s Records and Tapes at Hickory Hollow Mall. Met them and got their autographs. They stayed until the very end to make sure that everyone got through. I think it even caused the show to start late.

Its a catch 22 ..I like both Vince and John. Pitty that he did not stick around for another album or two. The only thing that annoys me is when ppl say this is not Motley Crue because it is just as much Motley crue as this is KZbin!! Its just the dark side of the crue

I bought a CD but I think the list is out of order of how they played....same stuff they play these days - livewire, feelgood, SATD, Looks that kill, etc. and about 5 from this CD. Crab is cool, but he wusses on the Neil high parts. He adds his own type of melody in some, which is cool. Kick ass stuff.

It's remarkable how almost everybody here loves the 1994 album. I totally agree. It sounds raw and heavy. Tommy Lee's best drum parts are on this album. To me, Vince Neil was always the reason not to listen to the Crue. (after hearing a few live recordings) When Corabi joined the band they sounded solid. They were solid as band. Tommy and Vince can't get along. Corabi fits the band perfectly, but obviously Motley had a different opinion on that. Everybody falls for a large crowd. Understandable.

I own a VHS copy of a show in Chicago. Not good quality, but okay. Being a loyal Motley Crue fan, I didn't take sides when the spilt with Vince happened. John Corabi in Motley was great- musically. I still crank out the album til this day and one of my favorites. Too bad the fans didn't accept it. It really was a great album. It would be nice to see this version perform a show or two now, but lets face it- it won't happen. John did what he could, but Vince can always carry the crowd.

I agree. This album kicked ass! I have always been a crue fan and was not in favor a a different sing but John did a great job. I would have liked to have seen another album with him too. And a DVD with him doing the old stuff. It was a lot harder. When Vince came back I was dissapointed with his singing. The SOLA album has has reaffirmed the old Vince but man John was good too.
@hulkeyes17 жыл бұрын
I love this album too. Thick 'n' heavy. I just read "Heroin Diaries" and according to Nikki the album flopped. The country was balls deep into grunge back then. That may have had something to do with it. That and I guess the Crue without Vince isn't the same even though the vocals were great with Corabi.

CRABBY RULES!!!

this guy was talented and a good singer! it's a shame the album didn't take off. I think fans were just so used to seeing vince that they didn't give him a chance. Kinda like Gary Cherone singing for Van Halen. Just couldn't see a different singer. I heard he left to join Ratt. But I don't think that went well either. He should have just created his own band.

and that is why this album failed and so did John's stay in the band. I became a Crue fan the spring of 83. Seen the US Fest, etc, tours to follow. But once they started sounding like a band that just put crap out. It wasn't so interesting anymore. Like we went from Metal, to rock, to pop, to blues, to cheesy, to some more rock. The Shout tour is still my fav in both sound and appearance. We were all sold on them being metal at that point in time. Only to be screwed with the gey look in Theatre
