Moto Camping on a 2004 Kawasaki Concours Part #1

We hit the road on out 2004 Kawasaki Concours 1000 for a weekend of moto camping around Virginia! We met up with a few buddies from the Sicilian Racing Team and had quite an adventure riding through the backroads of this beautiful state, this will be multiple videos that we will be posting for you to see! I'm only. 6 min into this and absolutely psyched! I ride a 2013 and planning a trip too. So, your already hungry huh? LOL ... I love stopping for breakfast too. Those roads look really nice to ride and this is a real treat... I'm looking for a good GPS (WEATHER PROOF) and the right mount. I've been using Google maps but it hasn't been great. So after a burger and⛽️ you were good to go. Funny how a quick stop and a bite to eat just picks up the spirit and refreshes you. I'm looking forward to your camp setup...see ya next episode. Thanks for the comment! I'm planning another camping trip on my Triumph Tiger in a few weeks, back up in the mountains but no real destination, maybe a little river floating lol working on some track stuff right now but more campingvids are coming!

planning a trip from Illinois to Arizona on a 05 Connie. Just got the bike? Any tips or mods you would recommend as it is stock? And how do you like that mount? Does it damage the camera?

The mount is awesome! I added a USB port charger for my phone and camera batteries, I have the charger on the handlebars and the camera batteries in the front compartment. Literally the only thing I recommend. Other than that have a great ride! Also don't over pack, I overloaded the rear and could feel the front end was lose and a little wobbly. Try to balance the side compartments and a light load on the back.

Your trip likely behind you at this point, but new tires and a new battery would always be my top recommendations before a trip. Also maybe a battery jumper. You may not need it, but a riding partner, or a stranger, might.
