You can do a whole lot more with 8GB of RAM I do a lot of multitasking and social media 4 GB ain't going to cut it for me

I would like to make a observation about the chin on these phones. As a cell phone junkie, I have noticed that the phones that have a chin tend to be easier to slide up to access your panels, these devices when you have a case on them. Just an observation, but maybe check it out and see what you think and I enjoy your reviews. Thank you for taking time to read this comment.

For a lot of people that buy these type of devices, The OS updates are not nearly as important as a security patches. Lenovo should be giving 5 years of bi-monthly security patches. That's not asking too much.

I used a mixture of wired and wireless, but I often have to "jack in" to a console to play an audio sample off of my phone. So, for me, the audio jack is an absolute must.

The Moto G 5G (2025) should have had a 90hz display and then give us at least 5 years of OS updates.

@@OHV_H In the US, the Moto g 5G (2025) is priced at $199. The Samsung A16 5G is priced at $199 and has 6 years of OS updates. That's why I suggested that I would have preferred the Moto phone to have the 90hz display instead of 120hz so that the cost savings could be put into more OS updates. 😉

I don't really think that people are keeping budget phones for upwards of 3 years. I know there are exceptions but I see pixel owners replacing their phones after 2 years or so.

4 GB of RAM is okay but rather have 8GB Moto G power 5G 2024 and the Moto G stylus 2024 5G

Even my Moto G Power 5G 2023 that is getting closer to 2 years old still has more ram than the Moto G 5G 2025 sure it's 100$ more expensive but it's two years older

Hey buddy any chance you can guess or know when these moto g(ems) will hit the prepaid section at walmarts? I love using these as Pocket Tablets and only use them as Wifi only devices but backup phones if in an emergency too. This model in particular goes on sale frequently and the 2024 version went as low as $59.99 which is a generous value.

I like Motorola but they have to stop going backwards on their phones. 4GB of RAM in 2025 is criminal when android requires 6 to run smoothly. And i get it's a $200 phone but all phones should have OLED screens in 2025. Also, support should be longer if Google and Samsung can do it, so can Motorola. Then the chipset should be much better. They could've put in a snapdragon 6s gen 2 or something like that to ensure better long term performance.

Remember google has more support because is google they are the ones that make contribute with android 15 and the Android 16 so they will get the more updates than other phones brand

I use both wired and wireless. But I can live without a 3.5mm headphone jack because I'll get way better results with a usb C DAC than most headphone jacks.

Each year Motorola plays this same old game with their phones. One step forward, three steps backwards. No amoled screen is fine but they should've went with higher max brightness with an HD plus screen(at least 1080p resolution). The bezels and chin can be covered up with a good case. 4GB of RAM is unacceptable in 2025 and it's the same reason I fault Samsung for doing that with their A series phones. All android phones need at least 8 GB or more to run smoothly. The update policy from Motorola is a big joke. How hard is it to actually make and then support your phones long term? You'd think it was the hardest thing imaginable but then you realize Google, Samsung, and OnePlus are all doing it. So, that means either Motorola can't update their phones or they just won't update their phones. My guess is the latter and that's why most people spending $200 will opt for the Samsung A series. Too many trade offs to get Motorola, which is sad because Motorola has a great setup and makes good phones.

I got nothing against Samsung or Motorola. Had both. Brands throughout the years, loved the last gen, "moto g ❤play" with those mods, years ago. I've been balancing back-and-forth between both Samsung and Motorola.I just Choose what I can at the time. I went with samsung A16 because it is what I could afford.

I Bought This Phone Don't Buy It My Experience Was Just Horrible. The Phone Locked Up By Itself No one Was Able To Help Me Get Back In. Waste Of Money. The Phone Reset Without Code I Got Locked Out. The Motorollo Company Was Rude And Horrible Stay Away From This Phone And Company For Good This Is Worst Experience That I Had With Any Cell Phone And Company. Plus Volume Was Always Too Low
