I've had it for about a month and love it. I'm pretty simple...Don't take many pictures at all so I could give a shit less about the camera...battery life is outstanding and that's all that matters to me. All I really do on my phone is watch KZbin since I spend more time on my game consoles. Maybe it's not for everyone but if your a simple person like me I recommend it.

Bought this on sale a few days ago for around $88. It's impressive for such a low budget phone. Definitely corners were cut to make this phone affordable. The camera isn't all that important to me. I just need decent RAM, clean resolution, big screen, ample storage, long battery life, and reliability. So far this thing is the best phone I've owned in this price range. Very happy with it. Last Motorola I had was a Razr and that was a piece of crap.

Got the Moto G Power a year ago and it's been doing good for me so far. I've been on road trips with this phone and all the pictures I've taken are great and amazing quality. The battery life is also insane especially with TurboCharging it always lasts me a day or two and have only run out of battery power once or twice but that's because I've neglected to charge it. Overall great phone and would recommend it for anyone on a budget Edit: I love the Cats feature on this phone

What about the out put sound, is it as equal to the speaker, I bought a Poco phone, great phone it has an amazing speaker but when I plug my wire headset, the sound sucks. My Poco phone sound was a disappointment despite the speaker is amazing louder. I hope its not the case If I buy this Moto phone.

I use my phone to talk. I've had the best results from Motorola with respect to microphone quality. I own the Power, Fast and Play phones. The Power also has very good reception. I get a cell signal with Power where the Play model has none. Last year's Power is my favorite budget phone. Love the wide-angle camera. Too bad the new Power dropped that feature. Not worried about NFC as it has never worked when I have tried it at checkout and have had to resort to pulling out card. Care less about 4k. Love the ON Button finger print. I have never used 32k on any phone. Love not having to charge it as often, especially when a chance being off grid. It's 3mm headphone jack is must as Bluetooth head phones do not hold a charge long and need constant recharging. I have never noticed the difference between 720p and 1080p and looking forward to a larger screen.

If you get a decent pair of BT headphones (not the stupid little in ear ones) you shouldn't have to charge them often. My kitty BTs last 70+ hours.

Honestly, 720p is perfect for a screen that small. The smaller the screen the less the resolution matters. If anything it'll improve the gaming experience by boosting framerate and battery life.

This phone looks super appealing for what it is. Especially since I’m looking for a secondary (actually 3rd) phone to accompany my iPhone with. I can care less about features or cameras considering the 14 Pro Max does better than ever on everything. I just needed a phone that’s reliable that can receive text and basic email but not frustratingly slow compared to the flagships.

Honestly not looking to use my phone to shoot professional photography. I spent $2000 on an actual camera that can shoot 4k video and another $1000 in lenses, so wouldn't expect those capabilities for a $200 phone.

Thanks for your pros and cons video post. However I found one major con you did not mention. I have an older truck (2013 Ford F250) and have paired several phones with this truck without any issues. The Moto G Power does only calls and media like music. It does NOT support text messaging. My 7 year old Samsung did voice, music and text to my truck. But this Moto G Power does not do the text. Since I need hands free in my state, I am not going to pick up my phone and look at it as I am driving. I called Motorola support and they said this phone only does calls and media/music. That is a huge bummer if I'm on the road. I'd like to hear who actually texted me and their message so I can decide to call that person or not. Or do the quick premade replies by text using a voice command. I even have the Android App and it won't work with texting for Bluetooth. This is not a good thing and I find it hard to believe that with all the regs for hands free they almost want me to take my eyes off the road and pick up my phone to text with it by not supporting this.

@@dawickedj You have a 2013 Ford F250 too? Cool. The tech at Motorola must have been wrong about it not synching for all features my truck has. I could have used Google or something else to voice text, but the point was for my phone to utilize my trucks built in apps, not others. I wish I read your text sooner. I would have asked how you got it to pair with all the apps the truck uses. Too late now. I returned that phone and got the next model up which I paired easily and perfectly with all my trucks preloaded factory apps. I guess you can't always trust tech help. Thanks for your reply. It's just too bad I read it so late. Not a big loss though, I like the phone I have now.

Since the Moto G is supported by google you could easily say "Hey Google, text dad [message]". I understand you can't really hear your messages which is a bummer, but you can use voice texting on the road instead of texting and driving and risking getting a fine.

That should have been the first pro he talked about on these Motorola phones. The karate chop flashlight. It's been in these Motorola phones for the last 7 years as I've been getting em. With a huge battery and a huge screen for the price points the phone cannot be beat. Forget about the cons they're going to be cons in everything. Even phones at $1,500.

I bought this phone on battery capacity alone, i could give a shit about everything else. And finger prints, NFC tech are great if you just enjoy giving google even more of your data. Me personally none of my financial accounts are tied to any of my devices, I have a pre loaded visa for online purchases and if you’ve ever had your identity stolen you’ll understand and you’ll turn off things like analytics and advertising

100$ on boost mobile right now. Says 80$ off I think. I jumped on that. If you don't keep videos on your phone forever or buy an sd card, this is a great phone for the price. Battery is the main selling point for me. Everything else is just a bonus.

Both the Moto G Power (2021) and Samsung A32 5G were released in January 2021, yet the Moto shipped Android 10, not Android 11 whereas the Samsung A32 shipped with Android 11. Also, Moto G Power does not NFC, whereas the Samsung A32 5G does have it,

You did mention how iPhone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner at all but you kind of made it sound like that was a bad thing. It’s actually not. Fingerprint scanners are OK but they are only 50% safe as far as someone else unlocking your phone, whereas Face ID on the iPhones is 100% protective because it accurately maps the geometry of your face. No one else can unlock your phone but YOU. Just wanted to Clear that up.

I have this phone and it was okay the first few weeks but the battery isn't great anymore it doesn't last even 8 hours and I really dislike the plastic screen and the camera is so bad. I wouldn't recommend unless you're on a budget.

I love this phone. Put it face down and it auto do not disturb, shake it and the flashlight turns on, flip it and the camera opens. Got through a hurricane last night with no electricity. Audiobook and flashlight ran 12 hours and it's still at 90 percent battery. It's a great phone for me.

I've owned my Moto G4 Plus for 6 years on 32 GB of storage. It lasts a long time if you take care of it and move large files into Google drive instead of storing everything on your phone. I just clean it up once in a while and it's been like new. Until the battery started to overheat which is why I'm here. 🤔 The sensor on the screen likes to type for me now.

Voice unlock would be incredibly insecure. That's why it isn't used. And a 720p screen in 2021/2022 is not a pro imo. 720p shouldn't be used on any device that costs over $150 retail.

IMO the Moto G8/9 Power range need a substantially toughened case (or screen if possible). They are so heavy the phone is particularly vulnerable to cracks and shattering if dropped which is inevitable. I had a protective case but still cracked. I only had mine 6 months so gutted. The screen then starred from wear and tear. They are good phones but I'd advise buying a very strong case plus thin screen protector film and protective glass over that. 🍀😱

My Moto G power 2020 broke so I just ordered a Moto G Power 2021 and the 2020 was leaps and bounds better! The camera is a couple of steps above the camera I had on my Razor back in like 2005. I think I am going to order a new phone and store this one as a backup phone since my kids are constantly breaking my phones.

I was planning on getting this phone at Cricket, but instead they offered me the LG K92 5G. It's all right, it has a Snapdragon 690 5G chipset and it has 6 gigabytes of RAM. The only problem with this phone is that half of my games do not display full-screen and have big black borders around the screen..... ( I looked it up, and it's because of the awkward aspect ratio of this phone. ) it runs games pretty well, but when it comes to the battery it only lasts 6 to 7 hours at most when you're using it. It's not too bad, but I would love to have a phone with a battery as good as the Motorola power G..... ( I was going to buy the 12 GB Ram variant of the Asus Rog 5, but I'm kind of nervous about buying a $1,000 phone. )

I love the amber light setting make accidentally losing time n staying up all night impossible blue light on most phones 4 me is a big issue and i use it as a emulator for psp ps2 n64 gamecube and i also can play cod mobile with great graphics and absolutely no lag (4gb ram 64 gb version)

Just ordered two of these from Target today based on this review. We recently made the switch to Consumer Cellular, and are very happy with the service thus far. However (and this is my fault), I purchased two Galaxy A02s phones when we first switched. These phones are dogs. Apps and web pages crash all the time, the keyboard doesn't come up half the time (and you have to close and reopen the app you're using), and the thing is slow as molasses. The Moto G Power seems to be a great value for the money. It certainly can't be any worse than the A02s. Samsung makes a lot of great products, but this ain't one of 'em!

Am I the only person having data connection problems with this phone? I just got it a couple days ago and it won't load anything on google, youtube, facebook etc. I have wifi at home so it's not that big of a deal but it's annoying when I'm wanting to listen to music away from home.

I paid $210 Canadian no tax . Overall l really like this phone . Is this just my emagination or did Motorola use some sort of there antenna know how in the Moto G Power 2021 model for better reception when using the wifi? Have you had any problems with apps adding to screen. I download a game and after using the game, I end up with 2 or 3 icons for that app.

Have to recharge mine daily with very limited phone use. Lose at least 40% every night while I'm sleeping as well. My older LG Stylo3 lasted longer by far , and with more daily use !!

Yo havent watched any of the video can you literally not use this phone without activating service bc it wont connect to wifi at all yet it was at first and now it wont work at all
