@@arpitsrivstva Motorola likes to bait you, they make phones with INCREDIBLE value like this and the X4, than they make phones like the G7 one year after the X4 with fewer features and lower specs (no NFC?) and charge way more for it as well! Don't just be a fan, do your homework too. One thing I will say though is I got a ton of updates on my Moto phones (possibly due to their android one partnership) so that's good. They could be going down the LG path and heading towards bankruptcy though (remember HTC?) so watch out. Used to love their moddable Z lineup now they're mid-level going for a high end price! Lol used to be the opposite :\

Ha! I can get ANY phone I want and I still choose Motorola. Yes, it's true Samsung and Apple outperform on certain aspects like camera and processor but.... for what I need to do with a phone... it's UNNECESSARY. This guy keeps complaining about the cameras on the G8 Power as if it's the end of the world. As if it's a drama. He never discussed the REALLY IMPORTANT features of the phone. Also, when he said there are better phones "at this price" he did NOT NAME ONE of them. Are we buying a TELEPHONE or a camera? (commented from my 2017 Moto G5, which is still more practical than my iPhone)

Yeah I bought one of these phones last night I won't get it until December 2nd 2020 but this guy talked crap about this phone and the camera and I looked up the best cameras on phones and it tell me a G power what's one of the best phones for the camera so I looked at this camera and compared it to it and it was better so now I bought it and this guy makes me think I bought a piece of s*** I hope it turns out better Motorola should give him a ticket a fine talking crap

I've been using my G8 Power for 6 months now. It's an excellent phone with amazing battery life, decent performance and a good set of cameras (telephoto on a budget phone is unheard of). Only downside is the lack of NFC. Edit: Now I have the G9 Power, and here are some things to note: Display quality has improved (higher contrast ratio), resolution is lower at 720p, but it's fine, brightness is down from 741 to 521 nits in max auto. The performance is slightly better on the G9, battery is better and the main camera and front camera quality is much better (no more 4k video, ultrawide and telephoto lens is a bummer tho). NFC is nice to have on the G9 Power, no more stereo speakers isn't so nice. Overall, I think the G9 Power is better in some ways and worse in others than the G8 Power, and both are great phones.

I can't get my G8 Power to cast to TV. I have a Netgear PVT3000, but when I try to cast it says "available", then "connected", but switches back to "available" and never connects, never casts to TV. Worked fine on my Axon ZTE. Any idea why my G8 Power won't cast to TV?

Found out G8 doesn't support Miracast, so can only cast to TV with Chromecast, which requires a router. I can't cast since I have no router, I use my unlimited mobile data instead of wasting hundreds of $ per year on internet provider. Was able to cast with old phone that supports Miracast with Netgear Push2TV. Wish Chromecast didn't require a router, stupid limitation. Returning it and for a phone that supports Miracast. Why not support Miracast?

I bought one a week ago on sale at Best Buy for $230, regular price is $250. Which phones are better in this price range? So far the only thing I don't like about it is when you scroll a web page it is laggy...but I had the same problem with my Moto G6. After a few tweaks I got the G6 scrolling pretty smoothly. Still tweaking the G Power. It lacks bass? It's a freaking cell phone. If I want bass I'll listen to my home stereo. With that said, through ear buds it has damn good bass....more than my girlfriends iPhone 11, and almost as much as my higher end HP laptop.

Can you compare to older g7 power? The biggest letdown of it was a camera... no macro, often blurry shots... other things were really good for such price.

What does Lenovorola do best? The mid-range segment. The processer the 665 is alittle outdated but sufficient. Stereo speakers are good. Only 4gigs of ram is a bit cheap. Plus LCD instead of OLED. I guess for the 💰, not bad!

Ok so, I have this phone right now and I observed something, first I let it die to 0% battery so I can charge it to 100% (I heard that's what you do for the first charge) and I let it charge for like 2 hours and it was 26% or something, and then I opened it, and let it charge again, and it was charging really fast, 100% in less than an hour. Are the colors accurate?. I bought one of these but when I look at a red chair with the camera app the red I see on the phone doesn't match the red I see with my own eyes. It's a much lighter red. I find the display not very colorful at all. I've tried all the display settings to no avail. Wondering if I got a lemon.

Yesterday I switched from G7 Power to G Power. I just switched back a few minutes ago. The first problem was the hotspot could not be used and my provider could not solve the problem. That was the deciding factor for switching back to G7. I bought it because I wanted the new features 64gb with 4gb RAM and to upgrade to Android 10 and none of those are worth not having the hot spot. And the new processor is no big deal, at all, not a noticeable upgrade. Battery life is great but that like all the features with G7 are not improvements. The new G Power also feels cheap and I absolutely hate the camera "dot" to the left that is an eyesore. I do not recommend G Power if you already enjoy your G7. I have been a Straight Talk customer for a decade and the G7 is their best performer with supported features.

IMO the Moto G8/9 Power range need a substantially toughened case (or screen if possible). They are so heavy the phone is particularly vulnerable to cracks and shattering if dropped which is inevitable. I had a protective case but still cracked. I only had mine 6 months so gutted. The screen then starred from wear and tear. They are good phones but I'd advise buying a very strong case plus thin screen protector film and protective glass over that. 🍀😱

Using LUFS to measure the output volume of a phone doesn't make sense. You're measuring it relative to full scale, which just means a signal represented by all ones and no zeroes, the maximum value a digital device can represent. You should measure it in dB SPL to convey how much sound pressure the phone generates, which you could compare to another source to see just how "loud" it is. LUFS measures loudness units (how loud something sounds to a person due to how their brain perceives frequencies) relative to the maximum value of 11111111 in whatever bit depth the file is in. It's useful for mixing audio and video, but not for measuring how much sound pressure (volume) something generates. P.s. i bought the phone anyway, lol. thanks for the vid ;o)

It's worth noting that the G8 Power supports Quick Charge 3.0 even though the included charger is only QC 2.0. Also, this is basically the same phone as the new Moto G Power, that is just the US version and has better connection with US carriers.

It's 2021 and there still isn't a good phone like it with this good battery life, 1080p screen, stereo speakers, jack and sd card slot. SD 665 is alright as all games I play don't require much anyway. I have a SD855 phone now and never play any games like I thought I would. I always end up playing the most simple games anyway so I'm fine with it. I had this G8 Power but sold it and regret it. Selling my current S10e and gonna go back

All these features like gaming and camera are completely irrelevant with this device. It surprises me you said nothing more about battery tests. Or a review on how long it lasted in your day to day use. I’m considering buying this because of the battery and the fact that the screen is pretty decent resolution.
