dangerous if do it in public street about track friction
@AngrySkipperGC6 жыл бұрын
The tyres they have in racing are basically like using slicks on the road. They are very sticky even in the wet with the silicon compound in the tyres. I can run wet tyres on the track and feel extremely confident, as opposed to my road tyres on the public streets, there is a huge lack of confidence in the rain with them. I've had my rear slip out a couple of times in the wet which keeps me on my toes.

Tires "supposedly" will hold curves just as well in the rain than when dry, so theoretically people shouldn't fear riding in the rain, but on the street you can't trust your tires to hold a curve in the rain because of all the cars and trucks leaking oil all over the roads. Must be nice that when it is raining you have a nice clean road surface to run on like on these race courses.

did you see how casey stuck his line ,that equals faster corner speed , which over races distance adds up to wins. you can look cool but knowing when to drift is better than having to drift because you fucked up your entry or exit from the last corner. thats what a racer will notice
@dalljalma29 жыл бұрын
Dont get me wrong... but thats electronics... the reason why Stoner was so slow in the wet. Too much electronics = slow coners, slow accelerations, just slow overall in a wet race.
@Rock-mo3ry9 жыл бұрын
dalljalma2 have you ever been around a track ? that comment tells me no . most slides look cool but take away take fractions of a second to recover from to get good acceleration . winning a race doesn't come from just speed it also come from making the track smaller. if you have no idea what i mean by that , are obviously one of the slow guys at the track (if you've ever even put a tire on one) and maybe you shouldn't comment.
@dalljalma29 жыл бұрын
Rock1 I think you get glasses... cau i'm sure I've said nothing about sliding... Ive said that too much electronics in a wet race = slow times... and thats ALL. If you knew anything about racing... you'd know thats why Rossi is usually fast in wet races and why Casey was, usually, slow. Your answer tells me you like to spend more time on the keyboard then on the track... if you ever been to one.
@Rock-mo3ry9 жыл бұрын
dalljalma2 compared to who? you might want to watch the last couple of seasons buddy before you generalize . as far as the electronics I've never ridden any of those bikes so i can't say. only they know how much they help or hurt .from the interviews I've seen casey rode with his his turned nearly off ,so his team says. oh sorry i mis read that
@hmkls25429 жыл бұрын
dalljalma2 What are you even talking about? Have you seen stoner's riding style? He slides more than most other riders in the dry, so clearly he uses very little traction control. You need to get a grip on logic.

You won't really run out of grip, even if you hit your pegs. The main thing is to stay off the brakes, especially the front, and stay smooth on the throttle where the weight in slightly pushed back on the rear tire.
