I've got a 2018 V7 I got this year, and I love it. For anyone thinking about one, go take a look in person. Real unique, high quality bikes. Seeing it in person you'll notice the difference from Japanese bikes. He's also riding this fairly slow for reference. Mine has an exhaust/tune and it's so much fun. Kinda like a muscle car in bike form. If you run the revs up and shift through the gears, it's really a little rocket...

What I love about the new V7 is how well it pulls to redline. There's a specific route that I like to take sometimes that has a lot of wide sweeping curves, then a couple of sharper ones. I feel like this where the bike is really in its element. You can pretty much stay in 5th or 6th gear the whole time and the bike will lean over just the way you need it to.

Awesome video and the scenery... simply astonishing! I definitely understand the feeling you got from the bike. V7 almost ended up in my garage for the very same reason, but I picked Shiver 900 instead as I sometimes need to listen to the little demon and go a bit faster. Luckily Shiver can do both slow and fast with its 900 V2 engine.

Really loved your vid (and others). What I really like is the fact that you push it beyond (my) believe, but in the local villages you keep it calm and slow. I'm a Belgian but living with my Italian girlfriend about 45 min from Passo Giau close to these magnificent mountains. We have a 4y old who has the freedom to play around, but traffic scares the shit out of me. I used to ride bikes (ducati, yahama and moto guzzi, my favorite being a guzzi Griso 8V SE) but I quit riding a while ago when I moved to Italy. Thinking about getting back on the saddle and experiencing the dolomites in another way than hiking/climbing. Thanks! Great production. This must have been late May, or June... and you are coming up from the Cortina side, but there are much nicer passes than this. Specially on the weekend it's a nightmare ;-)
@Schaaf
@Schaaf Жыл бұрын
I try my best to put only myself at risk. Thanks for noticing. And yes indeed, there's a ton of better passes over there. But unfortunately the circumstances only allowed a video on Giau or no video at all. I hope I made the right decision. It was mid-May. Definitely my favourite time for riding in the Dolomites, in case the snow allows it

Maybe the best sounding original mc exhaust? The typical Guzzi sound is clear even through these pipes and i enjoyed the video. My own 2011 V7 Racer got Mistrals from new. I find them near perfect with modified db Killers . The old Heron head engine have enough power for me and the sound certainly is addictive. I will go for a test ride on a new V7 just to compare. But i probably stick with the old Heron head because of its slim and clean looks!

Musste man dann immer wieder raus fummeln.

Moto Guzzi do not look, sound or feels like either washing machines , sewing machines or other dull things in your daily life. If you like those sort of things there are plenty of things on two wheels to choose from. Whether you like and understand a Guzzi is another matter,they are a kind of their own.But i guess your taste in bikes(if you own or ever have ridden one) leans towards bikes wich may be much faster and powerful,even better technically,bikes you meet by the thousands everyday. And that is quite ok, just stop comment something you simply do not understand.

Love the look of the V7, totally old-school but modern...but the Kawasaki W800 always seems to pop into my mind whenever I think of the Moto Guzzi. Maybe because my local Kawa dealership has been trying to get me to test ride the one on their floor...

My friend said, thay "V7 is the most perfect of unperfected bikes". I don't know whether to agree with him, because it's the only bike I have and I don't want another one;) yet.

I almost bought a v7 stone in this same color, wound up buying an SV650 instead mostly for reliability reasons and I found one at a really good price. I still really like these bikes though, they are unique and seem to be just fun. thanks for the great video with amazing scenery as always!!!

I was between Ducati Hypermotard and Suzuki GSX-S1000 (2022 models both). Ended up going for the Suzuki. I think italian vs japanese brands is often enjoyed by different type of people... The wine taster and fashionista goes for italian, the practical person goes for japanese xD

I bought a V7 this year but was looking at other 650s like this. No regrets here. The V7 is a badass bike, and definitely has some advantages over a Japanese bike. The looks are killer in person and the quality of the parts just seems a little more luxurious, like the seat, feel of the controls and suspension and things like that. The reliability is actually pretty good, except for a run of lemons they had in like 2016 or something.

yes, finally! She deserves the attention you're giving to her, I got the v9 bobber (same engine) and I love it! More people should try these bikes ps: if you want to ride the v9 I can lend it to you, it would be a pleasure! I'm in the north of Italy

Schööfl cruise, best cruise. The bike seems very docile even with the clunky shifting. Seems like the perfect bike to cruise through Italian villages while saying "Ciao, bellisima" to all the Italian ladies.
