I tried it last year. And I felt in love with it. Even if the left mirror had the same issue... This bike is alive, makes you smile and gives you a lot of pleasure. Certainly my next bike.

Story time. 2023 was my first year riding. With a fresh Québec driving license in my pocket, I was shopping around for a bike. I had a deposit on a Svartpilen, but the dealer started doing shenanigans. So I explored other options. Went to my local Honda Motorcycles dealer to have a look at the CB500 or at the CB650. Little did I know, that dealer received its license to sell Aprilias, Moto Guzzis and Vespas a year prior. But never really made it known in the neighborhood. Right there, in front of my eyes, was a V7 Stone sitting there. 2022 model, brand new, 3 km on the clock. All black, exactly the same as in the video. The dealer goes "oh, do you like this one?". I replied "I dunno, never drove one. Heard good things but doesn't know much about Guzzis". He grabbed the key and said "I don't know either, didn't have a spin on this one yet. Have fun!" So I put on my helmet and went for said spin. I came back 5 minutes later with a grin on my face. "Why didn't I know about this gem"? Sincerly, I had a blast in two nanoseconds. A year later, my rig has 2500 km on the clock. Mods are subtle: these OEM mirrors got ditched because yeah, they suuuuuuuuck. Went for bar-end MG ones, much better. I added a little Dart classic windscreen too. A little tail bag holder. And my Zard slip-ons are on the way. That's it, you don't need anything else. Between this and a Bonneville? No brainer: Guzzi a hundred times. I must say I love to never bother about a chain with a brillant driveshaft. By the way, sir, these gloves look awesome. What are they?

Great story, you never know what you'll like until you've tried it. Glad this bike ticks all your boxes mate. Ref the gloves, they were just some cheap summer gloves, but I now have RST ones pretty much exactly the same just better quality, and those are RST stunt 3, only about £40 as well. ride safe.

Hi Jim, the bike is still in it's breaking in period ....that's why the little warning light comes on! When it gets serviced the dealer sets the warning light at 6.500 rpm. Keep up the good work. Greetings from a fellow V7850 special rider, ciao.

Good review it's nice to see one ridden at a spirited pace (for a v7). It's worth remembering that it's a single disk up front so even though they're brembo brakes the stopping power is adequate rather than super strong.
@DSR1YT Жыл бұрын
Thanks James, glad you liked the review. I agree with what you’re saying about the brakes, a simple thing to forget sometimes. Ride safe.

What a lovely bike!!!! Guzzi's bikes are so amazing!! Thanx for the excellent review 👍 I enjoy very much. It is my favorite for my age and personality (50 years), to have chill and relax rides with class ✌. Do you thing it is beginner friendly?! Thanx and cheers mate ✌

Really glad you enjoyed the review Alen. Yes i would say it is a beginner friendly bike. nice throttle response with a good seat height, always something a new rider might struggle with.

I just picked up a V7 Stone, I had about 2 1/2 hour ride home from the dealer, the mirror arm was loose… drove me bonkers! Love the bike though!

I like these bikes. I just wish they'd make a bigger one, about the size of a z900rs and make the engine 1000cc at least. I'm a bigger guy and these are just too small for me. Currently own a Griso and a Speed Twin. And the Speed Twin feels a little small as well, but that 1200 engine is a treat.

I feel you pain with the size of some of these bikes. Feel very cramped in the cockpit sometimes. Hopefully they come out with something to suit your needs soon 😁

Never ridden a bike with a dry clutch - did you notice anything about it that put you off during the ride? Are slow speed manoeuvres OK on the V7? Thanks!
@DSR1YT2 жыл бұрын
Didn’t notice any issues with this bike no. Also it had a really good turning circle which would help with slow speed riding.

I can't remember if that specific bike had a centre stand fitted, however I do know through the Moto Guzzi website you can buy the stands for around £200. Ride Safe

I read somewhere that the low fuel light comes on at 200 or so miles. Bearing in mind these bikes have a range of up to 290 miles, that light gives you a LOT of warning. You ain't gonna run out of fuel on this bike.
