I switched from the S7 a and this phone is leages ahead of it. Smooth amazing display and huge screen that is awesome to use with the game pad mod. It's fast and does anything any other phone does and the mods are awesome from the jbl speaker to the projector which is a must! Hope you try it and if so enjoy

On a superficial level, it feels like a bad deal. But the s8 or an op6 doesn't give you a unique experience. Many companies like lg have tried this and have failed. But moto a mere plaything in the hands of other companies has successfully completed 3 generations and promises more..so appreciate it.

As a z1 force user I've been so Happy with the Moto Z series. I've had the Moto Droid, Moto Droid 2, Moto Droid Turbo, Moto Razr, Moto Razr M, Moto Razr Flip (way back in jr high), and will be getting the Moto Z3FORCE the moment it's announced!

Couldn't agree more. I had two generations of Moto phones starting around 2011 and then wound up switiching to Samsung...broke 6 or 7 galaxys before I came back to Moto. I'm a clutz really bad and have not managed to crack the screen on the z1 force after countless drops without a case. Motos are probably the most underrated phones on the market.

Debra Dukes right?. I feel like the z series is a great family phone. Kids get the play and Mom and Dad get the regular or force. I'm an Android developer and I work with several different phones, but the z1force (minus the bulky bottom bezel) is the best thing ever

My Z3 play cracked screen 4 days of use while I was getting out of my Ej8 coupe. Soon I opened my door the phone slide out of my pocket and hit the driveway concrete. Done. Around 15 inch drop.

I've been heavily invested on the Moto mods ecosystem so it's nice to see Motorola keep their promise, I don't need the highest of specs and I've been used to no headphone jack (just keep the adapter plugged into the headphones and if you want to charge and listen to music put on the turbo power back or the regular power pack and there you go charging and listening at the same time) since original Moto Z so this might be a worthy "upgrade" only thing is I don't like how they made the phone thicker without making the battery bigger from the Z² play, I'll just hold out to see what the regular Z3 has to offer in the meantime, plus last year the Z² play was 499 new and didn't include the mod and had a 626 don't know why people are freaking out about the price

Can somebody tell me why my Moto Z3 Play is different? Mine doesn't say "Motorola" at the bottom of the screen. It doesn't say anything at all. It's blank. But I'm cool with that because it looks better that way. I was just wondering, since I have watched quite a few videos on it and work with phones myself and have never seen any Z3 Play besides mine that doesn't have that eyesore text at the bottom of the screen.

Looks pretty cool but I went for the Moto g6 play, the 4000 Mah battery is just really helpful. I would get to about 72 percent by the end of the day and my old iPhone would die about that time lmao.

Motorola missed and opportunity to put another speaker on the bottom for a stereo set up. It has enough space on the bottom, I think. Also, they should've integrated the power button with the fingerprint sensor and not put the power button on the left side. I sometimes accidentally turn off my phone when I'm using the JBL moto mod and putting it on a table.

I was considering the unlocked $500 model but I am also an Amazon Prime member. The $450 deal also includes battery mod and Alexa battery mod too. I already have the JBL SoundBoost 2 so I could sell the Alexa mod for like $70 on ebay which would kind of drop the price to $380. I don't know what to expect from the Amazon model because I never had tried an Amazon version model before. It appears that they got rid of the big ad lock screen.

My original Z Play has smooth metal sides. I use a TPU case for it to give it a little grip. When I use the mods, I cant use any cases, and the smooth metal sides (with the added weight), makes me nervous about it sliding out of my grip. I have a bumper that can be used with the power pack.. but still, not the ideal solution. Love the worry free battery life, and I have had no complaints about the speed of the processor. Not in a hurry to upgrade. I have found that using a battery to charge a battery is fairly inefficient. I keep it set to charge to 80%, but I think a bigger phone battery and a proper case would be a better solution... but that does not sell more mods.

Moto Z Play has the power button and volume in the same side (right) of the phone. It's better than having volume and power on opposite sides.

The cost is high only for the support of Moto mods... Samsung or Apple or Redmi or Huawei or Oppo or Vivo etc etc can't give support for Moto mods... Moto mods reduces the usage of Power Banks, External speaker, Projector, Digital 📷... Infact this is the future... Hats off to Moto Z3 Play... Waiting for the Moto Z3 Force...

The OG Moto Z Play has been the best Android phone I've ever owned. Now that they cut the battery and dropped the headphone jack, I might look to the normal Z this year to see how it stacks up. By then, the price for the Z3 Play may come down to true mid-range prices.

I feel like Motorola makes their batteries smaller because they want you to buy the moto mods. Like 3,000 mah is ok but they could easily just make a 3500mah battery phone to compete with other phones.

It runs on a very battery efficient 636 processor which is supposedly much more efficient than the 626 processor. This phone isn't using some powerful 845 battery draining processor like the OnePlus 6 or having a battery draining quadHD display.... It comes with a thin profile battery mod that increases to 5,200 mAh. If I easily get 10 hours screen time over 3 days on 1 charge (3,510 mAh battery) on my Moto Z Play, I think I am gonna get solid battery life with the Moto Z3 Play.
