also i have to say i really respect jake gagnes work ethic and drive, when other guys are getting upset and letting things get to them he just picks up the pieces and carries on. it wasnt his domination last season that made me a fan but his ability to stay in there and keep trying when things didn’t go his way this year.
Massive thanx for posting these races. It really helps me get thru my work day. See y'all in Millville!👍

thats the thing, its getting in with the right team on the right bike at the right time. jake is really comparable to cam buebeier in style and ability and hes been getting swallowed up in moto 2 after nearly winning every MA race in his last season, going from the best bike in the paddock to basically a fresh start really showed

@@monkmoto1887 Yeah gotta get the right team. Gagne was a weapon winning the Redbull Rookies 125 world championship. He beat Binder, Ottl, Antonelli and Kent. Following that he just never got a decent ride in a world championship.

It's interesting...Cam Baubier ran a 1:23.00 at LS which is an unbelievable time on that track. Then he goes overseas and races in Moto2 and is essentially a mid-pack guy. Jake Gagne is a hell of a rider and with a good machine is almost unbeatable, but if he would transfer over to Moto2 he'd probably also be like Baubier. Though I'd like to see him try just the same! It'd be nice to see an American do well on the world stage.
@crisnmaryfam73442 жыл бұрын
its just all depends on the riders experience with different bikes. One you have more power to use, the other you have to carry speedi nto corners a LOT more, and draft other riders to pass, rather then finding a window and powering through. The bikes are very different. "While the chassis are ‘free’, the major feature of the Moto2 regulations is that all the riders use the same engine, meaning a rider’s individual talent is showcased. After nine consecutive years, the Honda 600cc engine was replaced by a three cylinder 765cc Triumph engine. Riders have 7 engines for the season. For the last three years all the teams have used the same electronic management system supplied by the championship promotor. As far as tyres are concerned, riders have an allocation of 8 fronts and 9 rears per weekend. The minimum weight of the bike plus rider is fixed at 217 kilos." MotoAmerica’s premier race class, Medallia Superbike showcases America’s and some of the world’s best motorcycle road racers aboard high-horsepower, highly modified, production-based liter-class motorcycles that are capable of speeds approaching 200 miles per hour. These machines are positively bristling with the latest engine, electronics, chassis and suspension, and tire technologies. Engine Configurations: Over 750cc up to 1000cc, 4-stroke, 3- and 4-cylinder Over 850cc up to 1200cc, 4-stroke, 2-cylinder 220 Horsepower Minimum Weight: 370.5 pounds/168 kg

@@crisnmaryfam7344 Thanks for the info. I remember when Nicky Hayden moved to MotoGP and you could see during...practically his first season that he wasnt holding as quite a tight line in the turns as everyone else, allowing riders behind to stick their front wheel in a get around him at times. His experience with the RC-51 in states was so much different that - as you said - he was able to use all that power to pass in AMA, but in MotoGP was unable to carry corner speed without drifting out and leaving an opening! Thanks for reply. Cheers
