This! I've had a scout in the past and found it a bit gutless, and it sounded crap standard. Hoping this version (especially the quickest one) has a bit more grunt! I've a Roadmaster at the moment and might consider an FTR in the meantime before this comes out.

I like all of the changes but I wish they would have increased fuel tank capacity. With my 2016 scout I had to start thinking about finding a gad station at about 100 miles, really need to stop by 125 miles, and you're out of gas at 150 miles. In many parts of the US on longer rides city to city, that is a limited range. I think just an increase of 1 gallon on the fuel tank would be great and still allow a sleak aesthetic design. It would also mean not having to think about finding gas station until 150 miles, stop at 175, dead at 200.

Exactly!

Amen! Just two or three more litres would have made it way more versatile. If you ride spirited (who doesn't?) then you are lucky to get anywhere close to 120 miles.

I just test drove this bike today. It has great torque and semi- comfy ride but it didn’t feel like a cruiser but more like a sport bike. I would recommend this for someone who still wants a sport bike with a cruiser type look. The semi comfy ride is because of the seating position. You’re leaning more forward which places stress on your lower back just as a street bike would. The Sport Scout Limited felt way better in my opinion and would be my choice in the new Scout lineup.

I like what they have done with the lineup. This is how you do a radiator! HD should take note for their Sportsters. I was surprised that the 101 was only a 5 HP bump to 111. The Sportster S puts out 121 HP, and 10 lb-ft more than the 101. Since the FTR has put out that level for years now, I expected the 101 to be there. Still awesome. I hope HD comes out with a new Roadster to compete with that FTR. Competition is great for us. 🤙🏼

Thanks MotoBob. The way you clearly illustrated the new model features and benefits is far superior to Indian's own short attention span promo. The 101 is naturally getting all the attention, but I actually prefer the standard package Scout Classic. Firstly, I think the smaller radiator profile suits the retro style so much better than the previous Scout. And you get ABS, full LED lights thrown in, plus wire wheels - all of which would have added up to thousands of $$$ previously. And a fuel guage no less. New price sounds like a deal to me!

I’m happy that Indian went out on a limb and offered so many different flavors of the Scout as part of this update. But none of the updates makes me regret buying a new ‘23 Scout Bobber at the end of last year. And while Indian decided to ditch the large radiator (which was the largest styling issue with the Scout since day one), I think it looks kind of weird without it. What’s replaced it, though? That God awful 2-1 exhaust. It’s worse than the one on the Harley Nightster, which I didn’t think was possible.

They made it look a lot more like the Chief, and less like a Victory Octane. Can't say I like the Chief style bobbed rear fender or the new seat options (anybody who's anybody changes the seat for a Corbin or Mustang anyway), but everything else looks awesome. ALSO. There is nothing wrong with the Scout Sixty. Nobody should feel like 65hp "isn't enough" on a 550lb bike! The Scout 101/Scout 69 are the sport cruisers. The Scout 60 is the actual mid cruiser version of the bike. Consider the fact that Shadow 750, Vstar 650, Vulcan 900, and Boulevard C50, only ever had 40-50hp, and they're still very popular bikes.

I like it. The engine on the last scout looked better imo, but they did a good job. I’ll prob buy one. I currently have a 2017 Scout, so I’ve been following and owning a scout almost since they came out from Polaris. Easiest engines to work on. Over the seven years of ownership I’ve done all the maintenance and added things like cruise control, new clutch, etc. Meaning It’s hard to justify the upgrade. A bit of advice: they made a large amount of improvements in the first 3 years on the scout introduction. It may be worth waiting to 2027 to buy.

First of all, thanks for the video. Your summary made more sense then indians long video. Old model costs 15k euro in Europe. New one will probably cost even more. Its really hard to justify a bike like that for a price like that (same goes for Harley). Or at least go for a basic Chief (can be found for around 18k). As for the new model. Hate the exhaust. Otherwise its very good looking. P.S Id buy one of Royal Enfield's 650 models and a Triumph Bobber for that price. That would give way more fun.

I'm really excited about what Ola Stenegard & Co. have done with the new Scout range. Which one gets me hot under the collar? Well in the previous range, although I loved the Bobber, the Rogue looked just as mean but was much easier to ride hard in the twisties thanks to slightly more ground clearance and that slim 19" front wheel. So in this new range, I'd go for the Sport Scout with the "Limited" tech package (I have a particular fondness for that analogue speedo and I'm happy to see it carried over to the new Scout - plus it has a fuel gauge, which is about time!). Anyway, time for me to give Indian Spain's Marketing Manager a call - I'm sure she's surprised I haven't left half a dozen voicemails yet - to sort out a bit of quality time with the Sport Scout (won't say no to the Scout 101 though!) and perhaps inquire what they'll be doing with their Rogue press fleet bike*. *Any "cruiser" that can catch an MT-09 napping through a left-hander (I was in a bit of a hurry, officer) is right up there on my list of bikes I want to own!
@dwightargo97647 ай бұрын
The new 101 is indeed a beautiful machine alright, however not being a fan of forward foot controls and especially so on higher-performance motorcycles meant for more sporting purposes (read: bikes meant to be ridden on twisting roads at higher speeds) I wish the foot controls on it had been placed more in the mid-position. This then would of course have meant the seat would have needed to be a few inches higher in order for the rider's knees not being uncomfortably bent, however in my case and with a 34 inch inseam, I've never cared about a bike having that low a seat height to begin with. And yes, I do understand that these bikes are considered "Power Crusiers", but still the idea that Indian doesn't seem to offer a variant of their new 101 Scout with more a "Standard" riding position seems a shame to me and thus lessens my interest in ever purchasing one. --Dwight in Arizona/owner of 2016 Indian Springfield, 2002 Triumph Bonneville, 1970 Triumph Bonneville

As a long term owner of a scout sixty in the uk i will say i am pleased with the limited tech + package but i kinda hate the price jump when competing bikes have them as a standard. My bike is starting to show age as i ride all year so kinda in two minds on getting the upgrade. Would love the chance to buy the 101 limited tech + but at £16k it’s a steep price point.
