Honda gives riders a 155 hp beast but takes out IMU corner ABS,feel a bit unsafe enough. Especialy for people who have lower riding skills at the UK narrow cold windy wet and raining country road condition. I have a friend who had an accident 3 weeks ago whilst riding a new CB650R when doing S road at country road at 30 miles speed his bike slips off the road and has broken 3 ribs. He told me if his bike got Corner ABS might save him at that time.

@@songrui2000 I'm a very new rider and opted for a KTM 390 Adv as my first bike recently. Pretty much for the reason you said above - on UK roads with UK weather I think as many safety features for a new rider as possible is the way to go. And the wee KTM, even though I won't win any races on it, has the cornering ABS and TC and I would rather have them than not. I think a few people, especially newer rider who see all the numbers it has for 9 grand, might be caught out on the new hornet. It is, however, a stunning bike
@Ivan_198616 сағат бұрын
For everyone thinking they need corner ABS my advice is to go for dirt biking / enduro first. Grab yourself a 125 - 250 CC 4-stroke machine, proper gear and learn bike physics, when and how it falls, why and what to do when sleep occurs. That will be the best school for you. Aiming at 1000 CC road bike with lots of safety features makes no sense without having proper reflexes and knowing exactly what is going to happen when you cross various surfaces in different conditions at different angles.

Valve springs = good move, less expensive, longer service intervals. Less weight = good move. Less over-square bore/stroke = broader torque for the real world. Variable valve timing = broader, more available power, more of the time. Shorter 1,2 gears = hard pull off the line Larger crank inertia = better modulation at lower rpm People crying tears only focus on peak numbers.

For me it's easily the Hornet. Aside from not being able to fit cruise control it seems like a fantastic bike and such a great deal. Also, everyone loves to give it grief for looking like a Streetfighter but no one seems to notice that BMW is aping that look with their super naked? Anyway, I'd probably get that if I were rich because I think it honestly looks visually more appealing than the Duc.
@Cthooligan14 сағат бұрын
Wait another year or two for the next generation which will likely have the new e-clutch system and cruise control as it becomes more affordable and standard. It appears Honda is striving for affordability with this model (a departure from the Honda tax of the CBRs), so major tech upgrades will likely be slower going for this platform.
@iansmith23714 сағат бұрын
@Cthooligan good point. I don't have any interest in the e-clutch - a quickshifter is enough for me - but when they update it these will almost certainly be included.
@Cthooligan13 сағат бұрын
@@iansmith237 The engineers hinted at such an upgrade during a 44teeth interview. But I agree its not a make or break inclusion as my up-and-down quickshifter works just fine as is, minus first gear clunkiness

@@Cthooligan makes sense. I don't think I'd get a new bike without a quickshifter; it's just too much fun. And it's definitely getting close to that point where cruise control is going to be standard for middleweight and liter bikes.

I love Triumph's triple cylinder engines. But on a 660 model bike it just doesn't make sense. The extra cylinder at that displacement volume adds unnecessary weight and is punching down into a class (parallel twins) that has it beat as far as power to weight ratios are concerned. Makes more sense in their 765 platform as it weighs the same as the 660 but makes 40 more HP. Except Triumph sells twin cylinder engines, its just that they output power like a cruiser from last century. So is it that their triple cylinder engines are too detuned for the 660, or are their twin engines too outdated and underperforming for a 660?

Ducati releasing wet weight with no fuel. Then it isn't really wet is it? I don't know about you but I don't, and literally can't, ride without fuel, so that original provided number is useless. Average weight for a gallon of gas in avg temperatures is around 6 lbs per gallon. Meaning fully fueled the weight is closer to 410lb ready to ride. Why do mfg's have to do this fiddly numbers nonsense? You're not fooling anyone, just creating the need for more consumer research and math.
