@@JimG1964 you guys have any indoor tracks. When I was racing AX, my dad and I would always find the barn tracks

@@180mxtraining7 Nope unfortunately. We use the time to go through our bikes and do some training off the bike. My son plays a lot of hockey too so it works out pretty good. I would rather be riding though lol.

@ awe gotcha, sometimes a break can be a good reset

What it's telling me is he's on a 80 probably and your on a 450 ? That's how you're catching him 👏

Yes that's part of it, but he is over braking and not carrying enough roll through the middle of the corner.

Just throwing this out there and I’m just learning so bear with me. What if the entire braking zone shifted further away from the corner (ie down the screen on your image) rather than compressing the braking zone? Reason I ask is I always kind of thought maybe that was Jett’s secret to looking so smooth?
@180mxtraining79 күн бұрын
@@cooganbeggs4942 good question, if you watch Jett tho, he holds it on deep. I think he is really good with applying the perfect amount of brake and modulating his brake pressure. He is also very good at sweeping and arcing his corners. He knows almost the perfect amount to brake, so he carries the most momentum.

@ great explanation, cheers mate …I need to take a closer look at his braking 🫡 I’ve always struggled with modulating brake pressure and its something I need to work on (same with my on-off throttle action left over from my 2 strake days! 🤦♂️)

@ there are those spots where Jett let's up and jumps braking bumps, but he's the only guy out of 40 guys that does it.
@cooganbeggs49429 күн бұрын
@ that’s exactly what made me think he was maybe getting his braking done way sooner 👍

@ I think that's a technique when the track gets so rough that you can't accelerate through all the rough stuff and you need to get creative. That's some high level stuff, that the 99.9 percent of us shouldn't worry about 😂
