it's a normal air valve, they all work like that and always have. he only found out recently how they actually work, its not a new KTM thing.

@@DigitalAwareness we've actually had issues with previous models, unfortunately. However, it seems that could be linked to loose valve stems, as well.

Your description of a Schrader valve is exactly how they all work. After your last pump the air that's released from unscrewing is always the air in the line. The schrader is literally a basic one way check valve.

Josh- quite a few takes you wheeling those uphills! Definitely an awesome bike. One tooth larger rear and you will be like Doug Domokos around the whole track. (Before your time - ask Jody as to who he was). Thanks for the great video!

You can race a 350 in the 450 class, but not in the 250 class, thats why they are compared to the MX1 bikes.

Road every model KTM Dirtbike the 350 was my favorite. the 450 has too much power to control for me, and the 250 has two little. I am 185 pounds 350 is great

@chris beerad not everyone rides to win races though most people ride for fun, the 350's are great like he said because if you don't feel like going 100% you can just torque around the track not have to ring it out to enjoy yourself. Like you said he's not a pro like all of us commenting here so getting the wrong gear into corners or not coming up to a jump face at the right speed is common with the extra grunt of the 350 it can rescue you when you make mistakes unlike a 250 where it will fall on its ass and come up short or bog into a corner that's what people mean when they say 250's don't have enough power and don't even get me started on 250's on sand tracks not fun at all

@chris beerad it's got nothing to do with being lazy it's about having fun maybe when you grow up a bit and stop being so hostile you'll drop out of that racer mentality and enjoy it for what it is. The points I brought up are perfectly viable as to why a larger motor can be more beneficial, top end horsepower isn't what I'm talking about, your right modern bikes top ends are ridiculous I'm talking about the increased low to mid in the 350 which is massively beneficial yet not too hyper like a 450. Just because your mate is faster than guys on 450's with his 250 doesn't mean a 350 wouldn't benefit or make him faster either I bet his lap times wouldn't change in sand but he'd be less worn out with not working the bike as hard along with the 350sxf being lighter than an 250excf making it just as easy to throw around. Lack of low down power is a real thing in 250's and alot of people notice it

350 is alot of fun. & the KTM Guys. along wth Husky Guys probly spends more time at the track thn the othr Manufactures does. & Next Year here in the States they Will Have GAS GAS on the Tracks u no the Red KTM. Wick On ✊

sold my 21 350 5 weeks ago. hated it. cant lug like the 450 and feels like a tank compared to the 250. just did a 270 kit on the 250. think that's gonna do the trick for a light flickable bike with more guts

I think the whole 350 vs 450 start thing is bogus. I'm pretty sure I saw one Jorge Prado holeshot and lead all but 2 laps on a 250 in the Open / Lites class at the MXON!

They only do orange frames on the last bike of the generation, such as in 18 all the Xc and sx line up had orange frames for last year of the style of the bike. I love the orange frames but it’s rlly cool how they do that.

Tell me why it seems KTM reconfigures the air fork every year, “to make it more plush like an oil/spring fork?” Just put a damn oil fork on it already. Nobody runs the air fork, no one likes it, it's too finicky.

Maybe because they tried for years to get springs to work but failed everytime haha these air forks are way better than their old spring forks they should stick with it I reckon, though the xplor in the enduro models is actually really good aswell and that's spring so who knows
