I'm 31 years old and have been riding for 24 years. A Suzuki is more than good enough for most men. This isn't your Dad's 1976 Husky or KX500. You don't need the latest and greatest anymore to go fast. Throw a few bucks at the suspension and you are solid!

Ktm made yearly updates seem normal, and look where they are now. Suzuki was around in the time of jesus and will be here far into the future.
@brettfrimmer6567Ай бұрын
Your argument doesn’t make sense. Suzuki has been in financial trouble for years and it’s partly WHY they don’t invest in new machines and dealerships get stuck with carryover on floor plans they have to sell for almost $5,000 off. Generally bikes that are class leading and developed with new tech and improvements sell. Covid and producing too many bikes is why ktm got in a spot. That said……the Suzuki is still a good bike most normal riders wouldn’t have problems with, it just gets outgunned by the competitors.

Back in the late 70's suz was kicking ass , and came out with a half-year model ....1978.5 if I remember correctly. And look at where they're at now 🤔 I think they said f moto , let's go sale cars in India and make some bank 👍
@josephchambers5400Ай бұрын
@@mikeandrews1899no. Suzuki got destroyed because of Ricky. Ricky’s contract was very low signing pay but hundreds of thousands for winning races. So basically Suzuki payed Ricky millions when they were up top and Suzuki just hasn’t financially cooped from that
@Viking380Ай бұрын
@@mikeandrews1899The reality is the moto market is not only small but almost everyone expects a deal of some sort. I think Suzuki realized that money was tight and at about the same time realized they could own the entry level market by selling bikes far cheaper than the competition and still making a profit selling the same bike year after year until novice racers could actually benefit from riding a machine that is apt to bankrupt them and the company that made it.
@othgmark1Ай бұрын
@@brettfrimmer6567Why do you think Suzuki is still in financial trouble? The tooling has long been paid for and USA sales are no longer an indicator of overall financial health. Both China and India consume many, many more motorcycles and scooters than the rest of the world. They also sell a lot of micro cars in Asia.

A good, reliable bike for most riders. (especially the price) - How many average riders (weekend warriors) on here buy a new MX 450 motorcycle every year? raise your hands - How old is your current 450 MX bike? - How many hours on your current 450 MX bike? - How many hours/days if or when you get a new MX 450, does it take you to get use to that new bike? - Other than Suzuki, most 450s are on a 4 year cycle. Yes, some changes, really nothing major. AND.. really, how much better do you get every time you buy a new 450MX, if you are an average rider. As you get older, does a new bike really make you "better"? Or is staying on your current bike and getting to know it like the back of your hand, a better option? Now.. yes, it is COOL to have a new bike, and cool to maybe do less maintenance as your bike ages, if you do almost nothing to it normally. But... really, who cares what you ride? Be happy on the bike you have, and this bike will make a lot of people happy, be reliable and save you some $$$. ... I ride a Yamaha by the way, but I'd certainly get one of these If I had need for another bike in my current situation

The Honda at $9699 is the bargain of the group but if you can get a Suzuki for close to $8000 that's hard to compete with for an average rider if you can get along with the kick start. You can build the bike and suspension to be whatever you want it to be with that extra cash compared to just having a stock bike from the other manufacturers.
