Thanks for giving Formula E a shout-out, while talking about MotoE.

I've had the pleasure to experience a Formula E Event live, and I was very impressed by the soundscape. Sure there was no engine noise, which definitely has it's appeal, but you could hear so much mechanical noise. The tires first and foremost. In any classic motor sport you would not imagine how much these things squeal in regular race use. You hear all the bumps and scratches. In a way it gets you closer to what is actually happening, because you can hear, what you can't see. It's fascinating.

I love attending FE races, they’re so much better live, especially in London when you sit in the indoor section. They’re so cool.
@hugozetterberg78013 жыл бұрын
Why dont they just make the races longer by switching bikes during pitstops? That would also spice up the races in form of diffrent tactics from the teams and so on
@thedon22z2 жыл бұрын
That is the first thing I was thinking..hell they could design the bike to have swappable packs. Especially since everything is custom fabricated anyway. Just make a special lift to do quick swaps on the bike .

I keep telling my friends. If there's simply just an improvement in battery tech even by 1% per year in terms of battery weight and longevity. These electric motorcycles in moto e are gonna catch up to the main moto gp counter parts really quick. I believe gas motorcycle tech is almost at it's peak and ending life cycle. I love th shit out of traditional motorcycles but I'm more than ready to embrace the future
@JoaoPereira-sy3bh3 жыл бұрын
Well if electric power is the future I guess I'm not really prepared
@PRSer3 жыл бұрын
@@JoaoPereira-sy3bh Technically most electric engines can easily produce the same or more power and speed than an actual petroleum engine. It's only battery technology that's just really lagging behind. The new Tesla Plaid can keep pace or even out run most supercars at a fraction of the cost. The first gen of Energica motorcycles are pretty damn fast too.
@JamesBrown-ux9ds2 жыл бұрын
@@PRSer Yes so right! And of course this is the future, so good to see that Ducati has committed fully. MotoE, with the battery only about six times better than now, will take over. (200 kw engine power, 45 minutes of race duration - and maybe about 200 kg in total for the entire vehicle should be available in some years from now. And maybe it's just laptime - advertising 'motoE qualifying now quicker than MotoGP'. But the overall future software package as well of such a great interest - a can't manage fossil fuel engines right in the combustion chamber, only close by, with the electric motor i can regulate, set and controll within fractures of milliseconds right inside of magnetic field, rotor, stator. If I want a frame that bends controlled, a can reloop the bend to engine torque and power apllied this moment, and the vehicle does, i only need to preset the amount i would like to have, as function of place on the track during one round, leanangle and left and right, as function of 'felt' (measured) tirewear - the sky is the limit for all of such of course.) We see clear MotoE battery tech will moove all future vehicles - as the usual trickle down. (Current EV's batteries most focus on max charging speeds - motoE on energy density - society needs that field/spread to become opened more - 'what you want? And may the best man win!

Why can't manufacturers fit a synthetic sound box??? Some clever tech guy must be able to figure this out. All manufacturers of electric cars & bikes are failing to recognise sound is one of the main things people love and buy a vehicle. I cannot not image riding any bike without sound, there is nothing like revving down the gearbox into a corner and powering out. Let alone a Ferrari, Aston Martin etc. It just isn't right.

Perhaps the entire chassis should be radically differnt than IC countrparts. I think it is stupid to focus on the green part of RACING with token gesters like where the charge power comes from etc.... aa THAT is obviously totally negligable and just rings PC BS. I would love instead to see everything rules wise wide open to innovation! Personally I would love to see HUGE MASSIVE Wheels/TIRES I mean massive with massive contact patches! Dont laugh and remind me of how that would only makes bikes impossible to turn...THINK! Specically think POWER STEERING! Maybe even gyros....computer augmented whatever it takes! Think rules making 800 pounds the minimum! For instance Or even more idk.....whatever ....with the massive wheels AND massive batterues? Cumputer enhanced robotics?....BIG long heavy motorcycle bearing little similarity to IC counterparts!....Something more akin to batman's motorcycle idk.....because trying to scale E racers to come accross the basically same as the IC bikes (which is the current status quo)... they just come accross as LAME....as short winded DOGS!....But IF they were totally differnt? Then we could stop comparing the two ....anymore than F1 is compared to MOTO GP or motorcycles to scooters or bicycles....just totally different animals! NOT to be directly compared which is what is currently the case! ...See motogp rules very much pigeoun hole the form of racebikes....teams are not even allowed to try anything actually radical and THAT is where moto E COULD become a super interesting format to follow....But as it is now? Sorry just booooring! And the race is over before much racing even erupts! 15minutes? seriously??
