@dils984 жыл бұрын
1. Heavy braking, always have the bike with a bit of lean, will bring the rear around and moves the balance of the bike making stoppies less frequent 2. In the set-up,use smaller front disc's,will be easier to ride harder but will still need moderate amount of management 3. Power mapping is a good way to preserve rear Tyre Temps, biggest issue for rear loss of traction nearly always is overheating,keep your temp cool and your tyres will give you better performance 4. Most of the issues that people have with braking/acceleration can't be dialed out with set-up's,play around with them and you will make the bike suit your style of riding Robo's tips are the fundamentals and should work for majority but the tips above are more niche tips that may help a small few Good luck!

@The-Randomest-Guy4 жыл бұрын
@@Random63R400 huh? definitely on motogp bikes. It's the same thing. Even more so. The weight is on the front for braking, there is no benefit to having a strong rear brake, it will just lock the wheel. Look up any motogp riders style, the front brake is used for actual braking. It's why they can dangle their leg off the bike before the corner. Obviously if the foot is off the bike, the rear brake isn't being used(apart from the few that use a thumb brake) . The rear brake is literally used to manage the way the bike squats and to tighten a line in cornering.

If the physics are realistic, my advice is to try and be on the throttle for the majority of the corner to get the bike to turn, feathering it while at full lean. Try and get all your braking done before the apex. More weight on the front will increase the contact patch size on the tyre and decrease it's turning efficiency. You will run wide and struggle to hit the apex by trail braking too far. Look up the A Twist of the Wrist videos for more detail on bike dynamics. This is one of those counter intuitive quirks of riding a motorcycle.
@the_hza4 жыл бұрын
Agreed, Twist of the wrist is where its at! However, while this game is awesome , real life physics of the motorcycle do not apply as much as I would prefer. Close, but the throttle control and weight shift as you mentioned are missing.

Oh gosh, I actually forgot to thank you here for the information. I actually use the short-shifting quite often. ^-^ Though going in a bit too deep in corners to prepare a run is something I actually used for a while, the thing you said about the hairpin corners. It is not only for them, sometimes, many times in a race you can use that strategy to get pass some riders (even more in MotoGP20 than in the earlier games). :D But true as it is. I love to let more speed in the bike for the corners, then accelerate faster as well, because of Aprilia. Although I am not having an aggressive riding style in the way usually people are, I mainly pass people like that, but that means I am at least 3 tenths faster in that sector than the racer in front of me, or just a lot faster out of that specific corner. :D Everyone with their own riding style really. :) But this tutorial is actually good, and really clear.

Hi, Thanks for this video. I picked up this game a week ago...Usually play and get the Platinum trophy each year, but I have troubles with this game so far. Hope someone can advise on the following...At this moment getting used to the braking is very frustrating. Although I support the idea of this braking mechanism being more realistic, I think Milestone really failed implementing it well here, they should have implemented that the controller vibrates when braking to hard, just like in de F1 games in which you feel when the brakes are about to lockup... I struggle with the acceleration too, especially with the 500cc bikes. They wheelie all the time exiting slow corners, throttle seems to feel binary (on/off). Also the sound is very bad (useless) when you apply a little throttle, the sound is just less loud, the rpm progression of the bike sounds unreal and badly mapped to the PS4 R2 button/trigger. All tips/help are welcome and appreciated!

I use keyboard for this game, and on my experience if I keep both the front and rear brake on when braking into a corner, the braking feels less powerful compared to when I'm just using my front brake I do feel better in late braking when im using my front brake with a little bit of rear brake as soon as I need to brake, and then just rely on the front brake to help me slow down and turn. Using too much rear brake may affects your bike ability to accelerate out of a corner later on (sliding too much)

For Moto GP 3 I really didn't need more than a second or sometime a tap on rear brake. Fastest bike send you stoppie so easily ..! One thing making me curious tho, the run you do on the video is from a mode where you don't have the best bike available ? Cause I just tried MotoGP (instead of my career 3, full power beasts) on a time trial some hours ago and I did after a few learning and setting laps in time trial on that map you are running 1:28.5. I just took a Ducatti and tuned it progressively. I don't believe I can beat a veteran of this game with only a bit of Gran Turismo experience prior as sim racing. Do you know the reason I would score such a shorter time? Unless time trials have separate scores for the brand you are driving but that doesn't sound logical. Edit: Nvm, it was another track ahah; so many kind of look alike for a newcomer (yet I've seen some tracks used for car racing present in Gran turismo which is great stuff, I won't feel totally new there!). It's a bit overwhelming at first but after a while it becomes muscle memory, u just gotta keep at it. Use the joint further up the thumb for rear braking and the tip of ur thumb for downshifting. Try to excercise downshifting with the tip of ur thumb while u keep the joint area fairly flat over the rear brake button. At this point you should be comfortable with operating ur throttle, front brake and steering. After that it's just about implementing these extra button sequences into ur normal riding, shouldn't take too long!

I don't know about the default setting but I swapped the rear brake and the rewind button since I don't use it and it becomes much easier. As arip said, it will become muscle memory even though it'll seem weird/hard at first
@hollohullu94484 жыл бұрын
Just hold the rear brake with the middle knuckle of your thumb and downshift with the end of it
@s_wggns4 жыл бұрын
If you’re on PS4 change rear braking to “R1” and down shifting to “O”. I started using this button layout in motogp18, seriously helped me out so much.

I've tried this before, and I can go around the corner perfectly but looking at the replay, the AI seems to come at full throttle. At losail, I get so annoyed because I'm almost lifting the back wheel, breaking as hard and as late as possible and the AI is still able to shorten the distance by 100m, sometimes more. and this is at 100%.
@ozmalee71144 жыл бұрын
I thought it was just me that notice that and the AI is ridiculous with it. I'm taking those corners 150 and the AI is taking the corners going 300. I'm like what the fuck. Smh.

Just brought the game today since I'm starting to take interests in big bikes, Man! It's hard. I don't know if just I'm so used to GT Sport and F1 physics that my corners in this game is mostly a miss. Lmao. But yeah it's challenging but I'm still trying to get used to it. I love the satisfaction feeling earlier when I can finally got some consecutive smooth turns and smooth exit. I just hope that the AI can be very friendly. I'm playing on EASY mode since I'm a newbie but man the AI is insanely fast already especially in corners. 😅

I’m assuming your talking about how easy the rear will slide out?? If so, my advice is just learn to be really smooth on throttle, mid corner especially, can’t just get on the gas super hard.
@seankingsbury69254 жыл бұрын
@@s_wggns I was doing that but the problem actually came from a faulty USB port on my PC connecting to the controller. I ended up switching the port and everything is back to normal and now easier to ride. I should have checked that in the first place.

@@ROBO46 me too . I have the default buttons . I just made here 100 mistakes because i am new to this game and i am super confused . One final question man . If you are with full throttle in a big straight , when you decide to break for the next turn you break with both breaks ? I mean you break with A+LT together ? Or you use only front break ?

Try changing up to second when the bike starts to wheelie and also weave slightly to keep the front end down

I don’t feel the bikes spin up to enough. All I want to do is light up the rear out of corners like stoner lol 😂 Also under hard braking on tight corners I move the bike left and right to slide the rear

Well I'm playing on a PC with my keyboard, I just finished moto2 season no problem at all but on motogp season I can't go through even the first corner without crashing. I'm playing on the keyboard as I said so I only have full throttle and full brakes... What controller would you recommend I get for the PC, there is no other way to play the game.

Here's the most important tip. Stick to MotoGP 19 because 20 is unsalvageable garbage. There's absolutely no reason to even try getting used to it. You can't because it's physics and even the way the controls function is BAD. The only thing you're achieving is getting angry and frustrated. Except of course if you're one of those guys who think that the more insane a game handles the more realistic it is. If you're one of those then you might as well go play NFS Heat.

If you’re looking for an arcade game which is similar to Tourist Trophy I would suggest RIDE 4, the MotoGP games can be very hard especially the braking, RIDE 4 is more forgiving, Hope that helps 👍
