And When in the straights especially in portimao you have to brake from the right side then gradually go to left for better corner entry and go to right keep in mind that you have to use the brake gentle and keep practing ,hell i even still use playstation 2 controller with 95 % difficulty ,if you have ps4 and ps5 controller you can do better than me because your left trigger and your right trigger can be pressed gradually for smooth braking unlike my ps 2 controller cheers

Another helpful video. Thanks. Your video about weight shifting on Ride 4 really helped, even though it took me a while to realise that you don't need to lean forwards after initial acceleration as that just overrides tuck-in - I could not work out why the AI was whizzing past me on the straights:). I am still learning MotoGP20 before moving on to 21. What do you find is the benefit of using semi-auto gear shift over manual?

Complete MotoGP newbie here: When leaning backwards and to the left at the same time, for instance, do I imagine it correctly that I have to hold the left analog stick at the position that emulates the "1" on the numpad, so I lean sideways into the corner while having the rider sit at the back of the seat?
@DrAce46
@DrAce46 3 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy, nice profile picture ❤️ Errr so almost mate. You only need to push backwards on the analogue stick when braking. During the corner itself you need to be neutral just lean left or right. So yes brake at num 1 on the num pad until your release the brakes and then lean into the apex 👍🏻

How do you reduce rear wheel slides and kick out when changing direction under braking? For example at Qatar through turns 8 and 9 is smooth with with very light braking and shifting down to 2nd but every time the rear flicks out or slides away.
@DrAce46
@DrAce46 3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, that will be due to braking when the tyres are not parallel. You have to keep the tyres in line with each other under braking or else the rear will kick out. It could possibly be due to braking abruptly and changing direction too quickly. You could try turning in slower perhaps 👍🏻

I've come from Ride 4 where I was one of the better riders and got humbled in this game. I love the challenge though since Ride 4 got boring. I was confused how others can dive into corners and brake later than me. It makes sense now. I didn't realise you could do rider weight with the left stick. I would have to brake earlier to avoid going on my front wheel lol. Did Ride 4 have rider lean? I'm a top 50 time trial on all tracks and never used it if it's a thing. I got good at that game by being really aggressive with backing it in. I would fully slide my rear out. I knew I was different to every other good player but I was winning so I didn't change and stuck with my unique riding style. My reasoning is it's hard to crash on Ride 4. I can break with half the distance as everyone else and whip my rear out which angles my front into the apex. This means I can hit the apex without going wide from all that extra speed and have twice as much on the corner exit. I'm essentially sliding into the apex with extra speed and powering out harder. Doesn't work so well on Motogp though.
@DrAce46
@DrAce46 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the rider weight is applied on every Milestone bike game. It’s very important for stable braking 👍🏻 MotoGP 21’s braking is tougher but you can actually trial brake for a long time as well

Takes a long time for a NEWBIE to run with all those Assists disabled ! Never played a Race Game in my life and this game has a serious, serious learning curve ! Keep on the assists and gradually reduce and/or eliminate them as your riding style improves ! You cannot start with this these settings !! No way !!
@DrAce46
@DrAce46 3 жыл бұрын
That’s my fault, I was supposed to say that they were my preferred settings but you can adjust them to your own preference. I would advise trying them out as sometimes the assists take over too much 👍🏻

@@DrAce46 For me, I have driven R motorcycles when they did not have as much electronics as those of today, the type of driving and reactions of the motorcycles are more similar to those that Ride gives me. The motogp ones are very imprecise, it's like driving a jelly, they remind me of the suspensions that the old BMWs had, motorcycles that were designed to be comfortable and not for racing. The truth is that I have never been a big fan of motorcycle games because the physics did not transmit anything to me and they were not well done until I came across the Ride 4 even after the patch in which they nerfed the physics.
