I agree. I'm playing on Series X and the bike details look a lot better but when you go into the showroom on the menu and look at a bike, it definitely looks more cartoonish compared to 20, at least to me.

Agree the wet looks nice. The surface reflection is impressive but so reflective it seems borderline distracting.

Lighting is much better in 21. 20 was too dark. I'm glad they're improving their tech year on year, it's great to see.

Just make your own Reshade and tweak special effects as you wish, toy with colors, sharpness, HDR etc, I made my ride3 looking almost exactly like ride4

In 21 the bike keeps washing away from racing line under braking and turning . Doesn’t happen in real world bikes they need to fix this I feel.

Agreed. Sometimes i just tip the bike into the corner without any throttle and suddenly it runs wide for no reason whatsoever. And the kerbs are goddamn annoying I see the real riders use them all the time exiting corners without getting any crazy wobbles like in this game

tracks looked better on 20. bikes and riders sound and look better on 21. But the handling and braking feels crappy to relearn.

One thing I found REALLY helps, is to pull back on the control stick (if using controller) and use a bucketload of rear brake to stabilize the bike. Then, start to apply front brake. You'll find that braking is a lot more controllable and it's easier to tip it in.

The rain reflections/shadows ext look better on MotoGp 21 but the colour looks more realistic on 20 although there is probably ways to adjust that problem on a monitor or TV. Prefer night on 21 aswell since the sky isn't just pure black it's got a blue tint

Damn in wanted to see this .. thanx man,I got a series x and 20 is on gamepass but it’s for last gen..I wanted to see the difference,details are way different and I know watching a KZbin video is completely different then playing it.,ever since I’ve been playing in 120fps I hate older games lol..there’s a huge difference in feel.having a 2.1 hdmi tv and taking advantage of all the stuff with these new consoles is amazing..I’m thinking bout grabbing Rims racing for my ps5 but ima wait to see peoples suggestions..and of course they take the sale down for ride4 lol..soon as rims getting ready to come out..I heard allot of bad reviews of ride 4 but allot of good also..was gonna go with either or but I’m not paying 50 for ride4 knowing it’ll be on sale again

I got both games on sale, am I the only one who think 20 feels way better and more exciting to play, more sense of speed and the little slide the back does when turning make you feel like you living on the edge and pushing the limit of the bike and the track. I feel 21 is safer, slower and you need to take it so slow so it gets a bit duller compared to 20, I don't crash more it's just that I brake 2 hours earlier and things are slower. I also think the cleaner track graphics make the game feel slower but not sure, I just know it does not feel nearly as fun and fast as the previous version. It's a shame and I feel they can't keep going full simulator mode with this game because it will not be fun and it will kill multiplayer even more, they need to stop listening to the sim racing nerds because they definitely don't understand games it seems and how things translate to a controller and what makes for a fun race in the end. No wonder people leave multiplayer and play something else, and it's already almost dead on 21 and ultra dead on 20 which is insane for games not that old. It's really sad because this can be so fun in multiplayer but then it can't be these impossible boring sim races or people will leave in the first corner crash they make. I think personally MotoGP 20 was sim enough, it has a nice balance of madness on the road and still the need to be cautious without it getting boring. Braking was good, acceleration was pretty good, wouldn't mind some more top speed and acceleration though even if that means lap speeds won't be exactly like the real life ones, we are in a game after all so push the limits. I also love the Motogp KTM sound in 20 more than in 21, it just sounds really nice and suck you into the track you riding on even more. I also feel 20 had the perfect "controller to what is going on at the screen and with the bike" down to perfection, I even enjoyed the lighter feel of the bike that some have complained about, I think it felt cool and thrilling, every little move I made the bike acted like I expected and want and if overdoing things I fly off like it should be. In 21 there is way more struggle and unnatural feel, sure you can go slow and get flow and it feels natural but then the game gets so tame and quite boring, what is a racing game without speed and excitement. Also noticed acceleration felt quite slow compared to 20. I hope Milestones find back again so we're not going deeper down this rabbit hole of making it heavier, slower and eventually we stand still in every corner and if you don't hit every corner perfect you crash and then all multiplayer players leave because it's not fun playing catch up when you know the other person can just ride a bit safer and win. I also do think the graphics being rougher added to the sense of speed a bit, it is very clean in 21 even if I do think the riders and some of the tracks look great in this latest edition. Don't get me wrong I do like when there is a sense of danger and sim feel to this game and not a fullblown arcade where you can drive wreckless in every corner and get away with it but when the sim side of things affect acceleration and speed to a degree where the danger and thrill is gone they need to tweak it back. What do you guys think, you share my opinions or you enjoy 21 more?

Can anyone tell me if there is any riding difference between versions of this simulator ? I only do helmet view, so scenery is secondary mostly. At first I was up to 7 seconds a lap slower in helmet view but stuck with it and now, not slower at all. I am using PC, no Xbox, I do use a controller, as this works well. However , I am still using MotoGP 18, it is pretty awesome and challenging, why change ? I am hoping to get some sensible answer, perhaps that is asking to much !

I find that the asphalt on the tracks in motoGP21 is too bright.. better in motoGP20 and closer to reality. Just comparing my vid from Barcelona and colour of the track in MotoGP20 and GP21. In general MotoGP21 more saturated and brighter.

Asphalt is too bright, yes, it lacks some details (shaders?) like in Assetto Corsa to make it look right when looking in the sun's direction.

Somehow it looks worse than motogp20. Lighting/shadows are better, but bike motion and colors are bad. Wet track seems great though, and sound feels more like in real life. Still not worth the $$$ imho.

For multiplayer 21 is a must even if it feel quite dead there as well. If you play single player I felt 20 is more fun, feels faster, cooler handling, faster braking and better acceleration. I also love the sound of the KTM in GP 20, I have both games and on that bike I don't think 21 improved the sound. It sound like an absolute beast in 20 and I love it. Read my other response to the guy above, I said more stuff there.

@@shutup5483 I bought both and I tried a bit of 20 before diving into 21. Anyway after playing 21 quite a bit I went back and I just had a smile on my face. It just seem faster, wilder with faster acceleration and better braking. It's a shame they kill multiplayer every year with the new edition. I also feel they need to stop chasing the perfect simulator because I can I see how it is hurting speed and pure fun factor. I like how the bike is faster, very responsive but also wobble and twitch in the rear when you push it in curves. It give a feeling of being alive, it's exciting and you feel really sucked into the riding. 21 is not bad, some graphics are better some are worse. Sense of speed definitely feel less, bikes are heavier and you have to brake earlier and be very slow in corners which doesn't help with speed either, almost standing still at some chicanes sharp corners. For me MotoGP 07 by THQ/Climax remain the King, that game had insane speed and fun factor. It's a shame we have these simulator nerds always complaining every year because it's obvious GP 21 is a step backwards in terms of cool handling, speed and pure fun factor. But this is what happens when you go too far, it becomes too difficult, dull and then people stop playing. Multiplayer dies out faster as well when risk of crashing is so big because it will be impossible to catch up then with the leader if he can just play it safe. I only tried multiplayer twice but I already saw a problem, a guy crashed in first corner and left. Only me and the leader left, I crash in the 4th corner and also left, what's the point. I found 1 lobby searching for online game with 3 people in it. Such a shame because these games in multiplayer with a bunch of people that can all ride is super fun.
