I'm an aggressive braker, I always love to get the rear wheel sliding Brad Binder style just for fun.. But they definitely made it more difficult to get the rear to break away this year. I did notice that as the tire wears it gets easier, as it should irl. I was critical of the game at first because it's got quite a different feel than last years. But it's growing on me. A lot of realism in places I didn't necessarily expect. I love how the bike bucks and kick when your tire touches down during a fast corner or as your gearing and speed adjust to each other. Very realistic.

@@DrAce46 I see the rider naturally stand up and lean back under braking. I wonder if you can or have done any scientific tests experimenting with if leaning back actually decreases braking distance or if leaning forward while turning actually even registers in the game. It's a tricky thing to even attempt because you risk removing your turn input and standing the bike up when pushing the stick forward while you're holding it to the side.

Loving the game so far and I play exclusively in helmet cam because I used to race and that's my frame of reference. What I'm finding is that I can be 8 seconds ahead of the field running a consistent pace and the AI spontaneously catches up with me. While that seems very strange I don't mind it too much because it makes for good racing. However on certain tracks like Phillip Island where I'm a beast I can bet that somewhere between lap 6 and 8 that my bike will suddenly decide not to turn on certain corners forcing me to crash. Then when the rain segment starts I can be certain that if I'm in the lead a similar situation will happen by lap 4 or 5. I've re-done this race so many times and its like clockwork. It's like the game telling me "we are giong to crash you now because you're not going along with the story." I accept when I make mistakes but in this case I feel at times that its fabricating the mistake. I never had or felt this issue in Ride 5.

I've unbind the Rear Brake button and i know it's sounds crazy but it make the race even better at this game, it feels more natural to race, you need to brake early to make sure you're no hit anyone, especialy with the new Stewards System, i did this cus i have a bad habit to press A to brake the bike and just lose it. Racing in this game feels amazing and in some way realistic. Edit: it make you more even with the IA on braking.

Adjusting the slipper clutch and engine brake makes a big difference to overall characteristics when braking. Also on tracks like Austin you have to allow for bumps that unsettle the bikes while braking into corners. You can dial the suspension in to be controllable which is particularly handy at Philip Island. Doesn't matter how much the bike moves as long as you don't lose too much momentum or come off. I can do super smooth laps all day long but I might be a second a lap slower. Great advice about braking hard initially and backing off to let the bike settle into the corner.

Hello, I had Ride 4 for a while, but I always had a little trouble getting into it. During the summer, I decided to start MotoGP 24. For now, I still have a little trouble, but I feel like I understand the bikes (moto 3, 2 and gp) better than in Ride 4 where I have more trouble with braking (especially with the rear brake which seems incorrect to me) and cornering. I also appreciate the difficulty of the AI better. I hesitate to take Ride 5 in addition to MotoGP 24, hoping that the physics will be "close". I like the idea of finding some stock bikes as well as additional circuits that I like. Do you think it's a good idea or do you advise me to persevere on MotoGP 24 and continue to have fun from time to time on Ride 4 ? (there is also the question of Ride 5's budget...) Also, I play on Steam Deck in addition to PC, does Ride 5 run as well as MotoGP 24 ? Thanks in advance !

RIDE 5 is a good game, it’s not quite as strong as RIDE 4 however. There’s a lot of disconnect with RIDE 5’s vibration and feedback now where finding the limit is more challenging. Compared to MotoGP 24’s vibration and feeling where you can feel every bump and every tyre slide. I do recommended RIDE 5 for the track, visuals and bikes but on sale. 👍🏻 I’ve tried RIDE 5 on Steam Deck and ran very well, about as good as MotoGP 24

@@DrAce46 Thank you very much for your answer ! That's what I imagined. With Ride 4, I really have trouble understanding the bikes. I still have the impression that there is better on Ride 5. But while waiting for the next sales (which I missed by a hair), I will continue to have fun on Motogp 24. For the moment I am in Moto 3 with the adaptive difficulty and unlike Ride 4, I am having fun, I am progressing in terms of times and I manage to win against the AI. I still sometimes have a little trouble controlling the bikes, especially when I have to do a long lap. It's fatal ! But in comparison, on Ride 4, I am lost. I did a little motorcycle road trip this summer, it made me want to play motorcycle games again. But there are quite a few.

Has anyone else gone far enough into career mode yet? I’m confused if I messed up during the summer break portion of the schedule it asked if I want to stay in moto 2 or go up a class for next season. I swear I chose move up a class but it’s showing I chose moto 2 again for next year. Just wondering if that means I have to restart all over to be able to move up a class. Or if it says that till you have a true transfer rumour. Thanks all

I played GP24 for a while, and the braking feels really uncomfortable, especially with the controller feedback. When I brake, there’s no vibration on the left trigger at all. In games I’ve played before, like GP19 and Ride 4, whenever I braked hard, the left trigger would gradually vibrate from light to strong, making it feel very controlled and responsive. Without that vibration, I find it really hard to brake properly. I’d appreciate any advice you can give!😢

Try to lean in earlier, for example how a car turns when it gets to the apex try turning in before you get to the apex

@DrAce46 I do, but it feels like driving a bus when switching from side to side. I understand at high speeds it takes a bit longer, but around 100kmph it should handle much smoother. ( I own a bike, talking from experience)

Been trying to figure out these motorcycle games since the one on Sega, that was a great one you could actually break in turn without flying into a wall, Thanks but no thanks I'll stick to F1.

@DrAce - when I brake gently mate as you keep saying I over run qnd when I break 'slow and smooth' I also don't break enough qver run. Other times I either break too late or go too slow round the corner. Help? Never understand this 'be gentle' with braking it's properly irritating I'm a heavy brakee.
@DrAce46
@DrAce46 6 ай бұрын
You need to compensate the gentle braking by braking earlier. Compare your braking markers with mine in the video and if you're overshooting the corner from there brake a little bit harder

Anyone playing this game with Keyboard only ? i am struggling very much, the digital control of braking 0-100%, throttle 0-100% instantly and leaning is impossible to maintain any other than zero or full. I just don't want to use full assisted Ai control because it drives for me (less fun). Really tired of trying out and about to give up on this or maybe get an analog contoller, else it's unplayable

Uhm it makes sense, the front locking and all, I played more with the Moto3 but thats one thing that is WAY different in this game. I was used to GP22 where you just squeezed the brakes as hard as possible to stop the bike, but I noticed in this game, when you hit 100% pressure thats not when the brakes are most effective, thats also why its really difficult to steer the bike under heavy braking especially in MotoGP bikes. Thats where the Dualsense makes a difference, deffinetely the go-to controller for this game, wish Xbox made a good controller

@@Croccifixio I have the standard xbox controller mate and I never said it was bad, in fact the MotoGP games is for sure on the top 3 of best feedback you get through the controller. Its just a fact that the DualSense is better. If youve never used it you wont understand it, but I used it once at a friends house, to play Dirt 5 of all things and I was blown away. The left trigger becomes increasialingly harder to press, just like a brake pedal and the right trigger vibrates to communicate the wheelspin, its even difficult to explain, remarkable piece of technology that controller
